i need to set up redirection...
without showing 'base' page as referer...
I would have link on some site, let's say 'A', and I need to setup link there in way to do not show that main site 'A' as referer while surfer visits destination url... any ways for setting this up besides link to site B with metarefresh tag (on site B) to site C (destination url) ? example: A (google.com ) links to B (cnn.com/test/index.html) ,when test/index.html has meta refresh to bbc.co.uk...This way google (A) won't show up as referer in bbc.co.uk stats... Any ways besides meta refresh ? |

metarefresh + use tinyurl redirection, it's perfect!

i think target="_blank" eliminates the ref, but then you'd pop a new window
there is probably an easy way to do it & what i'm thinking of is overkill but if you could create a small background application listening on a specific port & redirect the request to the destination without passing the referrer header btw you could use mod rewrite to redirect to this private server/url so that it isn't visible in your source code |
