Combination of all those things? If you are coming with chicks, I'm guessing some amount of shopping will be necessary? |

Personally, I would rent a room right on the beach in Hermosa Beach Renting a car is a great idea, use GPS. I am guessing by your ages you are not really interested in Disneyland or Universal Studios types of things. So, if you want to go girl watching, check out Hollywood Blvd, 3rtd St Promenade in Santa Monica. Venice Beach is probably a "must" but a little overrated IMHO. Drive down to Tijuana for a day. Drive up to Big Bear/Lake Arrowhead. The beach has good clubs and you don't have to deal with the Hollywood lines and attitude to get inside. I will try to think of more. |
Venice Beach is a must. Yeah, don't set your expectations too high, but go. Rent bikes and ride up to the Santa Monica pier on the bike path. If you want a really good meal one day while here, check out http://www.fogodechao.com/ (unless your vegetarian then skip it). Shopping: 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Decent restaurants all around there too. Rodeo Drive - Beverly Hills. Zuma Beach - Malibu (Pirates Cove) . |

If you are like most webmasters on this board- you'll find the best TGI Fridays somewhere in the valley

LoL What? Not Applebees?? I was going to say Fogo De Chao, but Rand beat me to it. They are supposed to be opening one in Seattle. I can't wait. |
Thanks a lot guys, keep it coming.
We're going with three or four girls, actually we are going to Madonna's concert on Nov 6 at Dodge Theatre. But I've heard it is not a good area to rent hotel. We got the GPS ready baddog. Tijuana is not that appealing for us, since we're from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. Some three hours from the border with Nogales, Az. |
