Need a CMS for a Paysite. Script or Custom?
 

I posted a question in the Q&A and theres hardly a response, so it's going in this section now!

I'm starting a paysite. I need something to run it. So I need your suggestions. PornCMS is looking like my best option. I like what it does and it's probably the best priced solution I found.

Any suggestions before I decide on one? Do you know of other scripts? Want to recommend me your custom work?

Preferably in the price range of PornCMS or even less. Thanks!

SiteDepth is a nice low cost solution.

Yeah so far they are super slow at getting anything done and almost never respond to stuff, so if you want it done this year skip PaysiteCMS

Blog scripts like b2evolution and wordpress can be used as paysite CMS. They are very powerfull tools and easy to customize.

Yesterday someone showed me SiteDepth, it´s really good with an excellent price.

I tried Carma but I didn´t like it.

Elevated X is a great product but you need to wait too much for the installation and support.

Like someone said PaySiteCMS is even slower.

Try to speak with more people with experience in each product to take a decition...

I use Apex Paysite CMS and am really enjoying all the new features.

I can't believe how expensive some of these CMS options are. $5,000-20,000 for a CMS? They better shoot the content for you too! lol

This is something I have noticed. In the adult industry scripts are often way overpriced compared to similar solutions for mainstream endevours. I guess it's because there is so much money in porn.

We use Site Depth and Omar provides great LIVE icq support for us, you can't get any faster than that!

Site Depth is $899 for an unlimited site license, add vids and galleries, news etc.

The software auto generates thumbs and adds watermarks to piccys etc.

You can search by model and add live update thumbs to your tour.

If you haven't tried Site Depth then try it!!! What have you got to lose? heck Omar even provides the trial for FREE!!!

Are you able to use these cms for freesites as well as paysites? Or were they designed specifically for paysites?

After trying out of the box solution mentioned in this thread and other threads alike, I will only say that you need www.elevatedx.com. At least give their demo a try - you will cheat yourself if you don't.

We have been very pleased with ElevatedX, and some of the new features with the new version are going to be great for member retention. Be sure to take a good look at ElevatedX...:thumbsup

I've had a good experience with elevatedx.

I don't know what the other thing you're looking at costs, but you can get elevatedx for $500 down and $150 per month.

Yup have used sitedepth almost 4 years now and love it for the price and what it can do :thumbsup

How about the server load the scripts generate? Especially SiteDepth. Is a standard Vserver enough to handle an average site or do they need a full dedicated?

and: who Offers integration work for Sitedeph? Got a designed paysite with membersarea and preview area and woul then need to implement the script into the design. Who could do this and for what price?

We just switched over to http://www.elevatedx.com and AJ has been totally helpful through the set up process and answered my questions quickly. Plus the big bonus, no set up fees! I would definately check them out and if it's for one site you can be up in no time and it's easy to add new sites as you grow.

MAS of course

ElevatedX streamlined my workflow and is easy enough to use by web-illiterates. Lightyears ahead of what I had before.

Thanks everyone for all your help. I'm going to check out some of these.

Ones like PaysiteCMS are way out of my budget, so if anyone knows of any other reasonable ones, keep them coming. Preferably lower than a thousand.
