THC cures cancer? (cannabis)
I just watched this amazing documentary on the healing properties of THC (the psychoactive substance in marijuana) and I was blown away. Recommend a watch for everyone, even just keep it running in the background with the sound on while working does the job.

isn't it more it prevents cancer from forming?
|
a joint a day keeps the doctor away

Thanks for the link :thumbsup

I'm going to live forever.
|
I understood that it controls the pain of cancer quite well, but cures it?
|
Not that burning something and inhaling the smoke creates a ton of free radicals in the body right? THC may help or prevent cancer but the actual smoking process doesn't help. I guess I would say vaporize as much as possible.

My vaporstar RULES.
:) |
I had heard about that!!
|
Maybe but we are all dead anyway
|
I know that cancer patients get it for when they are on chemo or how ever you spell that.
But I had not heard it CURES it. what type of cancer were they talking about? |
THC cures everything!
|
|
Well what they do to get the most out of the medical benifits of the plant is extract the thc to hemp oil which they just ingest a drop of once or twice a day.
Many in the documentary claim it cured their cancer, anxiety, depression and whatnot. Smoking it does not give the full medical benefits of thc or even half according to this documentary. Well worth a watch, it's made by ordinary canadian people and not conspiracy theorists if you are put off by that. |
rofl..people smoking weed will believe anything
perhaps it is the belief in THC which does the curing of the cancer and not the actual THC. in other words, if you strongly believed eating bananas cured your cancer, possible it would... |
I had this strange feeling that this would be a result of a test....
I need to start reading some more medical studies! |
I heard that it lesses the pain but to cure ? maybe on the psychological level it can cure it .... i don't know , sure can cure cancer on some people :)

That's amazing! Another reason to smoke marijuana! :)
|
Thanks for the link...I wish it were legal here.
|
definitely a cool documentary. Whether it fully cures or prevents cancer it will never be proven for the reason stated in the film...THC comes from a plant; a plant can not be patented, therefore pharmaceutical companies would never even pursue this because there is no profit to be made on it.
People could grow weed in their own home and make the oil themselves. The companies who produce the cancer medications, that has been proven to do more harm then good, make boatloads of money from this and in turn the government makes money as well off of them. The fact of the matter is there probably is a cure for cancer, whether it is hemp oil or something else, it really doesn`t make a difference. These companies make profits from people becoming dependent on these drugs because the doctors prescribe them. If people stop going to the doctor for the prescriptions and start using a natural way of healing than there will be a ton of people out a lot of money. The system has already been designed this way unfortunately. |

What's the difference between filtering weed through a bong vs a vaporizor?
I know the vaporizor is better since you don't really see the smoke, but how much better for you is it? And how much should someone take of THC to have cures? I mean, would you have to go full retard to cure it? LOL Well, he beat the cancer, but he sure lost a ton of brain cells trying. |

This point really shouldn't be confused. Personally, I also think marijauna should be made legal to smoke as well as for medicinal uses, but I feel it's more of a selfish desire on my part, because I want to get stoned legally. This cat Rick Simmons is actually trying to help people, just not help himself get high. When it's people like me that say that medical weed should be legal, it's easy for people to just point out that I mostly want it legal so I can get stoned. What about guys like this? Sure, there are probably more stoners that want it legal to smoke, but there really are people that don't smoke it for the high that are convinced it can help. Should they be discounted because of stoners like me? I tend to agree with the position that the pharmaceutical companies stand to lose too much money to let hemp oil be legal. And that's evil scary shit to me. Did you see the reactions of the pharmaceutical company representatives when asked how business is doing? Evil shit. |
Its not THC by itself, its all the chemicals in marijuana combined. Thats why the THC pills with sythetic thc just make the user sick.

1. Antiepileptic action
?In 1973, a Brazilian group reported that CBD was active in ? blocking convulsions produced in experimental animals.? 2. Sedative action ?In humans with insomnia, high doses of CBD increased sleep duration compared to placebo.? 3. Anxiolytic action ?CBD induce[s] a clear anxiolytic effect and a pattern of cerebral activity compatible with an anxiolytic activity.? 4. Antipsychcotic action ?[C]linical studies suggest that CBD is an effective, safe and well-tolerated alternative treatment for schizophrenic patients.? 5. Antidystonic action ?CBD ? had antidystonic effects in humans when administered along with standard medication to five patients with dystonia, in an open study.? 6. Antioxidative action ?[I]t was demonstrated that CBD can reduce hydroperoxide-induced oxidative damage as well as or better than other antioxidants. CBD was more protective against glutamate neurotoxicity than either ascorbate or a-tocopherol, indicating that this drug is a potent antioxidant.? 7. Neuroprotective action ?A marked reduction in the cell survival was observed following exposure of cultured rat pheochromocytoma PC12 cells to beta-A peptide. Treatment of the cells with CBD prior to beta-A exposure significantly elevated the cell survival.? 8. Antiinflammatory action ?CBD, administered i.p. or orally, has blocked the progression of arthritis.? 9. Cardioprotective action ?CBD induces a substantial cardioprotective effect.? 10. Action on diabetes ?CBD treatment of NOD (non-obese diabetic) mice before the development of the disease reduced its incidence from 86% in the non-treated control mice to 30% in CBD-treated mice. ? It was also observed that administration of CBD to 11-14 week old female NOD mice, which were either in a latent diabetes stage or had initial symptoms of diabetes, ameliorated the manifestations of the disease.? 11. Antiemetic action ?The expression of this conditioned retching reaction was completely suppressed by CBD and delta9-THC, but not by ondansetron, [an] antagonist that interferes with acute vomiting.? 12. Anticancer action ?A study of the effect of different cannabinoids on eight tumor cell lines, in vitro, has clearly indicated that, of the five natural compounds tested, CBD was the most potent inhibitor of cancer cell growth.? In sum, the past 45 years of scientific study on CBD has revealed the compound to be non-toxic, non-psychoactive, and to possess a multitude of therapeutic properties. Yet, to this day it remains illegal to possess or use (and nearly impossible to study in US clinical trials) simply because it is associated with marijuana. |
Going to get high right now.
|
<-- cancer proof.
|
even if it does no way the pharm companies are letting go of their multi billion dollar markets any time soon
|
I'll buy that for a dollar
|
