GOOGLE CEO calls the Internet a Cesspool...

i wonder if this is something that is going to suggest a big change in the way google indexes the internet in the near future, or at least the way that search results are presented to the average user?

"The internet is fast becoming a "cesspool" where false information thrives, Google CEO Eric Schmidt said yesterday. "

"Speaking with an audience of magazine executives visiting the Google campus here as part of their annual industry conference, he said their brands were increasingly important signals that content can be trusted.

"Brands are the solution, not the problem," Mr. Schmidt said. "Brands are how you sort out the cesspool." "

Just what we've known has been coming for a long time. Brands and authority sites are the way of the future. If you ain't hoes or penisbot, then you better start building some authority in your niche fast...

Who would know better than the person who's indexed most of it?

He's certainly not wrong.

so if they get their algorithm fixed, I guess Redtube and Youporn and maybe Playboy should have the top 3 for most every generic adult keyword locked up :2 cents:
