200 mph Supercars and I've got pics!
 

Found a nice stash of supercars today at the " Festival of Speed " in Orlando.

It's really hard to get a nice picture with the cars parked and everyone walking around them so I waited after the show
and got some shots as they took them back to the staging area and their transports. It's so much better to hear them running and shoot as they drive by.
They had a really great selection and about the only thing missing was a Saleen S7 and the Ferrari FXX.
I guess that will give me something to look forward to the next time.

If you ever wanted to go over 200 mph in a street car you'll need one of these :winkwink:

I don't know if this Aston Martin was a DB9 or a DBS but it's sound was super badass as it drove by me. Better than any of the others sound wise.

As one of Schumacher's old rides this F1 could do 200 mph around corners but you'll never see it on the street so we can't count it.

The one pictured is the 09, its not for sale yet. Its considerably faster then the 07's.
There is no 08 CTS-V.
I still love the 07's, and they are still very fast, been looking at getting one myself, lol.

If you want to go over 200 mph in a street car in Ontario - you'll need a lot of these to pay the $10,000 street racing ticket.

After you get your wheels outta the impound lot.

I'm totally against street racing and here in Orlando it's a big problem with several fatalities the past few years. Many of them innocent bystanders. I find it completely irresponsible to race on a public street while others are using the public roads just trying to get home.

There are many places like rented race tracks where the owners of one of these supercars can push them to their full potential in a responsible manner. One of the things that makes these cars so special is the fact that they can reach speeds in excess of 200 mph and can also be driven in normal city traffic.

Exactly. I was glad they enacted the street racing laws here in Ontario. Too many innocent people wiped out.

yea, its true, the BMW M5 sets the bar when it comes to sports sedans. And while the Cadillac CTS-V is just making its way on to showroom floors, the M5 is well on its way out and is getting ready for a replacement M5. Caddy can enjoy hardly beating the M5 on the Nurburgring for a lil longer, then its another 6 years of being smoked by the benchmark M5.


with all that said, the M5 is NOT a supercar... so the caddy, even slightly topping the current M5, dosnt make it a supercar.

they need to fix the law though. Punishing you before your day in court is not right. (car impounded right off the bat)

One person was on the news saying he was charged with street racing for changing lanes without signalling. Of course he won in court, but he was already penalized even though he was 100% innocent. They've given the cops too much power with this law and they are messing things up and charging people that shouldn't be charged. I think they said 60% of those charged end up with a lesser sentence or get off totally.

They can even charge you with street racing just for spinning your tires accidentally.

They need to keep it for people doing 50k over the limit and that's it. And give you your day in court before handing out punishments.

I had no hope of seeing one of those there but knew about it. That's why I didn't claim the Veyron as the world's fastest :winkwink: Last year they had a Mercedes CLK GTR there and I'd also like to see a McLaren F1. Then the list would be complete.
