Why did Bush buy 98,000 acres of land in Paraguay?

Isn't that where all the old Nazi's go to retire?

These actions being taken by the Bush Family are in response to the expected War Crime Charges being filed by the International Committee for the Red Cross, and which we had reported on in our October 15, 2005 report titled
No extradition treaty with U.S.

He's covering his bases.

shit is really gonna hit the fan:

Quote:

"Kremlin sources are reporting today that the International Committee of the Red Cross, based in Switzerland, has opened a War Crimes Portfolio charging the United States President, Vice President, Defense Secretary, United States Military Commanders and the majority of United States Senators and Congressmen with ?Crimes Against Humanity? over what the United Nations has declared as an ?illegal? war in the Middle Eastern Country of Iraq, and where the innocent civilian death toll is nearing 30,000.

I guess the big question would be....why not just 200 acres?

98,000 acres is about 150 miles.

slavdogg 10-15-2008 02:06 PM

for the same reason i bought few ranches in Paraguay

Rochard 10-15-2008 02:06 PM

My guess is because that's the safest place to put your money right now.... you can't put it in any bank or stock. But buying land in bulk dirt cheap in some third world country..... Sounds like a safe bet to me....

Perfect conditions for the production and exporting of cocaine.

Buying land in 3rd world countries is always a safe bet...

not

sperbonzo 10-15-2008 02:14 PM

probably for the same reasons that we are....

....and for the same reasons why the rest of you SHOULD be!

My cousin is in Paraguay with the Peace Corps... buying a massive ranch there sounds like a pretty sweet idea to me. My biggest fear about buying in South America would be nationalization of foreign investments. But I don't really think it's that much to be afraid of.

It is not the same being a white king on 200 acres.

This was 2 years ago. Are the charges of war crimes still pending against him and are they waiting until he is out of office?

marketsmart 10-15-2008 03:22 PM

we have quite a few special forces groups in paraguay... we train their military.. not many peope know why we have such an interest their, including myself, but i would suspect it has to do with venezuala and columbia..

or, maybe the US is still deep in the cocaine trade and paraguay is the new columbia..

tiger 10-15-2008 04:14 PM

Maybe they are waiting until he dies of old age.

It's a prime location, right next to the Mengele estate.

xmas13 10-16-2008 01:51 PM

Bush's ranch is in Texas, USA. I know you don't want to listen to this, but there is very strong evidence backing my statement. :)

With the money he has made sitting in that house and destroying the nation he will build a huge mansion around it, he will build a wall around it, and you and I the tax payer will pay for the security. He is an ex president.

Financial Times article about Paraguay states “Take record commodities prices, add a subtropical climate that gives farmers five harvests every 24 months and vast tracts of virgin arable land and it is no surprise that tiny Paraguay has emerged as one of the big beneficiaries of the global food crisis” Such perception may put Paraguay into the focus of international agro producers.

Reuters India reports that "Some of India's top vegetable oil firms plan to lease or buy land in Paraguay."

Prepare for the global food crisis!

I can explain exactly why we have people there, in great detail, should we ever meet.

There is much more going on in South America and US Special Forces than people know or anyone will admit.

Everyone knows the UN is a toothless organization now. Who cares who they charge with what? They won't do anything about it anyways.
