Nah...he didn't fuck up. He was referring to Palin herself when speaking of special needs children. :)

Because Palin has a special needs child. Yet he kept mentioning autism when talking about her experience with a special needs child. Her experience is with a child with Downs, as that is what her son was born with, not autism. Face it, McCain knows less about his running mate than the general public does, or his dementia is kicking in hard.

You didn't quite get what I was saying. I wasn't arguing his error. I was saying Palin IS the special needs child. Thus her familiarity.

This debate was fun. I enjoyed watching.

One thing I notice, from a purely outsider's perspective of course, is that when the other guy is speaking, McCain makes a lot more smiley/snickering/eye-rolling faces than Obama does. It's something that doesn't sit all that well with me in this kind of debate. I like a leader who shows calm and composure under stress, and if you can't keep your professionalism in a simple debate well....

I suppose it's a minor pet peeve of mine. It's a respect thing.

McCain got SEVERELY owned tonight. Obama is clearly MUCH more intelligent and well spoken. McCain almost sounds as average as George Bush at times. And yes, George Bush was a president of just average intelligence. His Ivy League education was only because of the family name and money, not because he had the intelligence to back it up. And you see what has happened with Bush, a president of just basic average intelligence? It's enough to fuck up the entire economy. WE need a SMART president, like Obama. McCain is just another Simpleton that the world will laugh at.....McCain would be good as an adviser to Hollywood about being a POW or a military person for movies...that's about it...
