Potential for Election Day to turn into national embarassment
I think it's a real possibility - that Obama will go into Election Day with a sizeable lead, and will come up a loser. And if that happens the reason will be that when hundreds of thousands of people who were saying they were going to vote Obama got behind the curtain of the voting booth couldn't bring themselves to vote for a black man.

what happens when hundreds of thousands of people who say they are not going to vote get behind the curtain and do vote for him...
|
I think its a different time.
|
not this time .. ( the Bradley effect ) was the whites in CA, stealing the election in the 80's
The GOP will have to steal 10 states for Mccain to even get even w/ Obama not this time |

I think part of the problem with the 'bradley affect' as I understand it was that the initial poll sampling was wrong. Not sure if polls, surveys, etc are more accurate 25 years later..who knows. I do think racism will be a factor and anyone who denies is in denial.

Got to remember the majority of obama supporters are college students and younger voters who dont show up to vote but only put up a good show. Not to sound demeaning but history shows youth dont show up when it time to vote
|
The only way Obama loses is of a lot of his supporters decide that so many people will already be voting for him that they don't want to put up with the traffic and long lines to go vote for him.
|
It's very possible indeed. People that think this election is already over are being over optimistic.
I _hope_ Obama wins but I wouldn't be surprised at all if he doesn't. |

from the last election i learned the people in the polls are not necessarily the ones in the voting booths.
