Sorry, Dad, I'm Voting for Obama!
Let me be the latest conservative/libertarian/whatever to leap onto the Barack Obama bandwagon. It?s a good thing my dear old mum and pup are no longer alive. They?d cut off my allowance.
Or would they? But let?s get that part out of the way. The only reason my vote would be of any interest to anyone is that my last name happens to be Buckley?a name I inherited. So in the event anyone notices or cares, the headline will be: ?William F. Buckley?s Son Says He Is Pro-Obama.? I know, I know: It lacks the throw-weight of ?Ron Reagan Jr. to Address Democratic Convention,? but it?ll have to do. Full article |
Don't forget to rake the leaves before you goto the polling station.

should we hand over the largest economy in the world to a man with one year experience as a senator?
he's been a senetor for 2 years and campaigning for one of them. It seems that mc cain won when they chose obama over hillary.. because she would have beat mc cain |

I don't like McCain, but he has more experience than a 2 year senator. Maybe, just maybe he learned from some of Bushes mistakes? I don't know. But, Obama is not qualified to take over the world's largest economy. that is just an honest observation. |

HA! You are really pretty funny!!! I bet you have all sorts of "honest" observations. Please . . . . keep 'em coming! Thanks!!! |

The problem we have had is not with our President Bush --the problem is with our Congress.
Expect it to get worse before it gets better. |

Bush and Republican congress - 6 years = 1 veto
Bust and Democrat congress - 2 years = 11 vetoes Wonder what will happen with a Democrat congress and president. |

Yes. I would rather hand it over to someone with 29 years experience vs. 2 years. If you read my original post, I think Obama should be president after he gains more experience in the senate and congress. he has some good ideas. |

The mortgage mess was caused by the Clinton administration. Most of the problems we are having now have been caused by the rise in gas prices. When you suck away to much money out of peoples pockets they have less to spend on other things.

The worst president would be a very experienced, very intelligent, very skilled but evil person because he would be most capable of successfully accomplishing his evil acts. If there were only two choices: Satan or six-pack Joe, would you choose Satan because he is much older and experienced and skilled and knowledgeable than uneducated, younger, unskilled, stupid six-pack Joe? With joe as president, perhaps nothing will be accomplished (or he will be overthrown). With Satan as president, he will accomplish much. this is only an example to show that experience in a bad politican is worse than inexperience in a good politican. |

Not Clinton, he was just another yuppie that COULD have stopped it but didn't. |
I think of it like this...
McCain helped execute the Bush game plan. after their defeat, McCain notices flaws and tries to fix them to win the next game. so, McCain supported Bush's game plan because Bush was voted in to position of coach... and the players don't question the coach, they just execute the game plan, and learn from any mistakes they have made and or noticed others making. I think McCain will be a better president than Bush. I think Hillary would be a better president than McCain.. and lastly, I think after Obama gains more political experience, he will be an even better president than Hillary. it's not time for joe six pack right now.. we need a better, more smooth running country before we elect a feel good president like joe six pack. * at least I'm not racist or sexist :2 cents: |
