Anybody still use toplists?
 

I am seeing more of them showing up higher in SE rankings but they are always old ones that look like they haven't been touched in a decade.

Does anybody here actually still run toplists and do they do anything for you?

Yes and Yes ... 50+ Toplists here, all doing good traffic

I always thought traffic from a banner farm was not very productive... figured landing pages/gateways were a better use of hosting than a toplist.. meh.. could be wrong, never tried it though.

I have a string of niched toplists, great for getting niche traffic :thumbsup

I think if the lists are active you should get a bit more out of them than what you put in...thats the key though, you need to weed out those that are unproductive. Any traffic is good traffic..because the next surfer could be your next sale.. just my 2 cents

I have some small ones but for the most part I just use them with my blogs and TGP's to help keep traffic trapped in my network. I don't really trade out side my network with them.

I have one. I paid less than $1200 in licence & hosting and made over $20k from it. Im selling the thing as i dont have time - drop your email in the thread if anyone interested in buying a decent top list.

Same here, although I have considered opening them up for blogs. But I like them so much, I hoard them for myself. :1orglaugh

i am not running toplists, but some toplists are nice to boost your pagerank up. all those banners toplists are crappy and dead imho, but there are some nice text toplists with high pagerank where you can get nice hardlink for free :) but its quite off topic sorry

So, those that have them are you keeping the traffic for yourself and using them are filters rather than actually submitting to other people's as in the past?

I will admit that I have used that method in the past. Especially on fetish sites.
