Those are very nice..I have tried to do something like that but usually end up with a mess

They require a lot of time and proper tools... not to mention some patience. The simpler pumpkins take about 3 hours, the wolf one there took almost 9 hours, it was very finicky. :)

Just buy the kits at the store, they come with stencils, doesn't take 3 hours to do.
