Best place to live in the US? Web/adult business wise
 

What do you think is the best place in the US to live in if you're in the adult/web business?

Besides SF and NY.

Enlighten please!

California, Los Angeles would be my best guess.
No fear of regulations, neighbors, community standards like in the midwest.
Plenty of skeezers who need cash.
The weather.

I'd love to live in Miami

Not sure on the legal side of things though

Failing that I'd move to Brazil :)

Miami and LA are the two best places IMO

Id say legal stand point community regs etc. NY, Cali. But otherwise any place would work.

You already seem to have SF on your list. I live just north of Sacramento and I love it here. Decent weather, mild, warm summers and cold winters but no snow. No traffic, little crime, no smog.

It's nice here.

Yeah, the Bay Area is great, no doubt. Although perhaps there's like a sweet little town somewhere in the middle of the US that is haven for Webmasters (adult and mainstream).

Anyone know such a place?

...and btw.... Florida has no state income tax, and property is MUCH cheaper than Cali.

Yay, we can open up an adult webmaster suburb and live like kings! I bet that will have a good effect on the kings, when everyone says fuck as a business term all the time.

Hurricanes give you a weeks notice.... how much notice do Earthquakes give you?

I was living in LA during the Northridge quake, and I've been in Miami for several storms, I'll take a Hurricane ANYTIME. You have tons of notice, you can prepare, or leave, whatever you feel like doing. No biggie.


As for taxes, We pay the same taxes as Cali, except that in Cali you pay 7.5% of your income in state income taxes that you do NOT pay in Fl. Even property taxes are higher in Cali.


...and the women in Miami are SMOKIN hot, and they don't care if your not in the Film or Music business...
