Why does Sarah Palin need to spend $150,000
of campaign contributions on clothes in the last 2 months?
i guess she's just showing how she and mccain are in touch with the middle class and all the plumber joes... :1orglaugh whats your opinion on this Mr. Sintinkyfingerzzzz? |
Because American's vote on stupid issues, like if they think she is hot. Thus by buying clothes to look hot, she gets more votes. It is more the American publics fault than anything.

A girl needs to look good. :thumbsup

I would be pissed if I donated money to them.

Because she is a Maverick.

She's going to be donating it all to charity afterwards so that makes it OK. :1orglaugh
|
Because that is what it costs to make a woman in her 40's look hot enough that none of y'all can have a thread about her without noting her hotness.
|
because she has the wardrobe of a crab fisherman

I wish I could spend $80k at Neiman Marcus and have the Republicans pay for it.

those stores are where all the non elitists shop lol
|
Hypocrisy in the Neo-Con movement????? What!!!???
/sarcasm |
So the democrats would have something to talk about besides real issues Americans are facing because they, like the republicans have no answers to real problems.

Jeez... doesn't anyone have a GF?

I want to preface this with the fact that I think Palin is a blithering moron.
but... I don't see the problem with this... politics is based in large part on appearance. I think it would have been silly to not have her appear before the world in style. not that it helped. also, I bet mcain and obama spent about the same or more. figure $2k a suit.. 75 suits for $150k... 75 different suits for a campaign doesn't seem unreasonable to me. |
thats alot of money for clothes .. damn ..
|
most people don't spend that much in their lifetime on clothes :1orglaugh
|
150k? .. besides that wardrobe she must have one smoooooth pussy!.......

I actually was curious when this would come out though. Nearly every clip I have seen of her giving a speech, at a rally, or whatever. She has been wearing high end designer clothing. Hell that was one of the things people were talking about after her debate. I suppose you could justify it some- not easily in today's economy but well I am sure people can. However I do not see how anyone could justify the same level of clothing for her kids. |

They're trying to save it by saying it's going to charity..
BUT.. 150k could've bought A LOT more suits to give to charity if they'd have got them from Macy's INC or something.. which is just as nice and business-y.. It just doesn't have a huge price tag on it.. And WHAT CHILD needs a Louis Vuitton bag? I have no children and pay all my own bills and get along perfectly fine... but would NEVER, EVER, EVER spend that much on a bag. AND... That's like 2 coach bags... THe rednecks she appeals to would appreciate the coach bags even more. lol |

When I said yes, he told me that he had already had them resoled once since he entered the race a year earlier. Providence, R.I., 3/1/2008." |

Who runs McCain's campaign? The same people that thought Palin was a great choice for VP must think that it's money well spent. They're trying to win a campaign. I would have just hoped that it actually helped, if I was donating money to that campaign. I don't think it's working.

wow... what a hypocritical, materialistic douchebox
contributing republicans should be pissed about this, especially about her using your money to buy her 7yr old a designer purse. HAHAHA SUCKAS!! |
Curious if anyone has done the math since everything she has done was pretty well documented. How many rallys, interviews, and public appearances has she done up to the dates listed in those documents?
I really do not care about her spending the money, just very curious to see the average amount in clothing per appearance. |
umm... wasn't the infant son her daughters? i noticed in this article from yesterday, it says it's her baby. but wasn't it her daughters and thats why her daughter and her boyfriend had that shotgun wedding or whatever?
why the lies? |
Quote:
The baby was thought to be her daughters and that Palin was pretending to be the real mother. In order to show that was not true, she outed that her daughter was currently knocked up by her boyfriend and thus could not really be the babies momma. Then since her daughter was now thrown under the bus and outed for being knocked up, there was a wedding where the daughter and the boyfriend got hitched. As a side note, She will soon be (or currently is depending on if you believe the pregnancy thing) a grandma and thus making her a GILF to many and must be stripped of her MILF title. |
she has to justify her hotels, dinners, trips, shopping...no girl needs a reason to spend money
|
What kind of clothes cost that much?
|
Quote:
She spends $150,000 on expensive clothing for herself and probably more for her children when they turn up at a rally. Of this $150,000 the sales girl at the stores probably got 5% if she was hitting her targets. So there you are right away $7,500 has trickled down. Then the store has a profit which is needed to pay the high wages of the executives and the low wages of the cleaners. Then a huge chunk of it goes to the designer label which is probably not a US company and they pay some sweat shop worker in the Far East a pittance. So the trickle down is working fine for the sales girl, the big execs, the over seas companies and most important about the trickle down is it works for the ones at the top. They are constantly harping on about the Government deciding where your money is spent. Now you can see how well they will spend it. Don't worry about the money trickling out of the system, I'm sure the designer labels will send some back. Just not to you. Just occurred to me. Stars don't pay for their wardrobes for public events, they get them given to them because the designer label wants the exposure. Couldn't Palin make a few phone calls and get it for free. Or did she not bother to think about that? You see how wisely they spend money. Let's give them some big bucks to spend. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh |

I am in no way a fan of hers but with people focusing every day on her looks I can get how it happens.

Even if it really is Sarah's baby, perhaps she should have taken her doctor's advice and put her feet up and rested, instead of flying almost completely across North America for a speech. Her decision making skills are obviously self-centered and no good for her family, let alone America. /morning rant |

Was watching one of the idiots on FAUX NOISE. last night and he showed a clip of himself on the show THE VIEW. and in one section they commented on the amount Palin has spent.
One of the women on the show said. " Michelle Obama came on the show and proved that you look just as good in a cheap 150$ dress as in someething MORE expensive." WHO THE FUCKS VIEW is this?? Not " THE PEOPLE ". The Average household the woman does NOT even own a dress that costs 150$ |
