i almost bought circuit city stock yesterday when it clowned out at .37 a share. then today it tanked again to .20 a share. best buy was supposed to buy them, and that would turn it up, but looks like they may be headed for BK.

Not to mention Playboy Mag has gone to shit. Penthouse is a much better mag.

well I doubt much of the revenue actually comes from the magazine anymore.

Hypothetically you could get control 51% of total shares for around 20 million at today's prices.

it's toast - the brand name and logo i think will interest somebody - that's the biggest value left

when Hef passes it's over - the last shreds of the Playboy mystique will be gone.

what Playboy needs is a young rich version of Hef to buy it and not some slimeball like Joe Francis - somebody young(30-50) with money, a sense of style, literate, good looking - a Hef for the new millenium

I got some pretty good idea's about what Playboy could do.

SO far they are just dropping things as competition closes in on them. Its not a bad strategy but its not a winning strategy. But there are alot of things Playboy could do that are lucrative and far more aggressive.

A great time to buy Playboy stock, if you believe the stock is going to go up! Sadly I think Playboy will never recover enough to be investable.

Basically 4 dollars down on the 3 month peak... might have to pull the trigger and let my remaining PB stocks go... sad. I kinda liked having them in my port.

I imagine the Hefner family will take PB private again. I think they may own more than 50% of the stock already. Or they will be bought out. I cant see PB going BK. The brand is too valuable.

Lets all be honest here... Playboy once was on top of the world and had girls every man lusted after. Now you couldn't give me one for free if I needed it to wipe my ass.

The world changed as did their wants and needs of erotica, Playboy didn't. End of story.

Hef will always be a Legend and the brand of Playboy will be remembered for a long time but I think it's time they called it a day and bow out with a little grace and dignity.

Without a question it is a powerhouse brand. But their own numbers don't lie regardless of who is reading it, they have been in a serious decline in profits for some time now. Times have changed and while their girls are still hot, people just ain't buying. Be it because of the internet or whatever, they are not buying.

If I'm not mistaken, they don't even own the Mansion anymore...they rent it out. I believe some Mexican billionaire owns it now. But like I said, what I heard might just be rumor. I don't know for sure.

The point is that Playboy no longer defines the meaning of beautiful women in porn. I find few current Playboy models particularly attractive, they're all fake titty plastic surgery LA ho bags. Playboy is just a brand - it no longer offers what the modern porn consumer wants.

I can't see them able to hold on. Penthouse will more than likely buy out the struggling properties. I hope Lensman was paid in Cash. :)

Ford Market cap is 4+ Billion. Big Difference. The price of a stock doesn't mean that's what they are worth. If one stock has 100,00 shares issued and another has 4 billion issued there is a big difference.
