Now you know what it feels like to be a surfer screwed up by shit DRM on a porn site.
As stated above, it will be a problem with HDCP and your TV not supporting it. See if there are any firmware updates available for your TV. |
ouch. I read that HDMI has the same quality as DVI, but allows for DRM filtering. What a burn.:(

Some sort of DRM is the way of the future. Get used to it.

using component cables wont help...if the hdcp isnt detected the component cables only output 480P
your vaio is hdcp that means your TV isnt or you possibly have a faulty hdmi cable |

Ever watch the news online, or hulu, or any legal online streaming tv? Did you notice the DRM, probably not.. but it is protected. Educate yourself.. DRM is the future for the entire Internet. |
DRM is evil! This exact problem lead me to using a popcorn hour and downloading blu-ray rips all while sticking with DVD for purchases. If you purchase a copy of the movie in ANY format you should be able to watch it however you want.

You need a HDCP stripper. This device works on everything. There is a cheaper older model too that you can get for prob $75
