Voter fraud in Ohio...

But its by just 13 Obama campaign workers so nobody will care or hear about it...

if it was 1 single McCain worker.. there'd be 28 threads on the front page alone complaining about him trying to steal the election.

Thirteen campaign workers for Barack Obama yesterday yanked their voter registrations and ballots in Ohio after being warned by a prosecutor that temporary residents can't vote in the battleground state.

A dozen staffers - including Obama Ohio spokeswoman Olivia Alair and James Cadogan, who recently joined Team Obama - signed a form letter asking the Franklin County elections board to pull their names from the rolls.

The letter - a copy of which was obtained by palestra.net, a Fox News affiliate - came a day after prosecutor Ron O'Brien publicly urged out-of-state campaign workers for both Obama and John McCain to "examine your conscience" before the elections board beings begins opening absentee ballots today.

Earlier in the week, O'Brien spoke with lawyers for both camps and urged them to make sure their staffs met permanent-residency rules, or face possible felony charges.

Also pulling his ballot yesterday was Hofstra University grad Jake Smith, an Obama volunteer who had voted in Knox County, Ohio.

On Thursday, O'Brien cut a deal with 13 out-of-staters, including four from New York, who tossed out their already-cast ballots and admitted they didn't meet residency requirements.

Sorry, haven't heard about it yet. Drudge is only interested in Joe the Plumber and the chick who faked her "B" attack so far. He's letting you down man.

Of course there is gonna be mass fraud somewhere. That is all McCain and the good old boy network needs to get a recount after Obama smokes his ass and becomes president.

It is shameful after all these years the USA is unable to get a handle on voting or registering to vote.

I wouldn't be surprised if this year the American people were asked to vote twice do to errors, lawsuits and machine malfunctions.

1. My stinky shit isn't voting for either of these douchebags.
2. This thread was a simple observation that if this were McCain staffers, there'd be a national outrage, and it'd be plastered all over the place.

Brujah 10-25-2008 08:37 AM

Here's the deal. Franklin County Ohio prosecutor sent a letter to BOTH campaign offices of McCain and Obama. It was to warn campaign staffers that they are not eligible to vote there, while setting up temporary residence. In response so far, 12 of the Obama workers have sent letters requesting their ballots be withdrawn. There were 2 McCain workers so far identified as setting up temporary residence and voting in Franklin Co also. No others have requested their votes withdrawn yet.

"Both McCain staffers have lived in Ohio for about six months. McCain spokesperson Ben Porritt says the McCain workers voted in accordance with the law. No McCain campaigners have withdrawn their ballots."

That was partially the point.
If it were McCain staffers in the article, it would have been all over GFY by now.

Wow, I dont know about that. I have watched numerous people on every network claim that Acorn and Obama are in cahoots. ALL of the news channels including even MSNBC.

Brujah 10-25-2008 09:00 AM

I don't see this is a huge deal. It's only a dozen people and they were told they couldn't vote, so they didn't. They requested their ballots pulled. Obviously the McCain campaign workers were there just long enough to be counted beyond the temporary residence limit and will probably leave Ohio too once the election is over.

I do wish they would get a handle on the voting problems and figure out a way to correct them so that every vote counts and is legitimate. It shouldn't be able to be gamed by electoral college in swing states. You could just convince 1,000 or more California residents to move to Ohio for 6 months then during a general election year, whatever you need to swing those electoral votes.

Another issue is the ballots themselves, voting machines, etc.. There's always something going on with both sides. Sometimes one side is obviously better at it than the other. ie Bush 2000, Katherine Harris and the Supreme Court.

How would you reform the election process to be more foolproof?
