Thanks and my bad. I do know the difference between loose and lose. Not really sure why I posted it that way or if I have been doing it often. I am sure I make many other mistakes like that as well. I would imagine I screw up adding a few ' here and there or using the wrong word in a situation. I know just recently I realized I was typing specially instead of especially.

Most things, even 'specially' as an internet ebonic short form variation, are ok with me... I consider them common place at this point.
But "loose" in the place of "lose" is just one of those things that gets under my skin.
I think it's because it's more of a testament to the state of our society today. While most variations are a sign of being lazy, the "loose" issue is a sign of our losing the ability to read and write. Which, while not surprising, is saddening.
I'm not saying that it's a reflection on you... which is why I brought it up. I know you in particular wouldn't usually make that mistake. |
