Coinencedence, I made a nice marinara with meatballs last night which I ate over some spaghetti noodles along with a mixed baby greens salad topped with some French dressing (self made too), and some sourdough garlic bread.

OK I went nuts and made everything myself- the sauce, meatballs, dressing, and bread. Salad came out of yard along with the garlic. Just used boxed pasta, I really only make my own ravioli and other flat style pasta's.

Well I have leftover sauce and meatballs. So figure whatever I have it will use that tonight. Maybe some meatball sandwiches. Then I have some apples I need to use. Think I will make a brown Betty or something with them as dessert. (think apple pie with no crust and just a crumb streusel topping).

I love doing it the way I explained. No damn crust to worry about. Prepares fast as hell. Only takes about 30 minutes to bake. Plus it is damn near foolproof.

I made the kids favorites tonight. I cooked them Rice Pilaf, Peas and cornbread, and Braised Chicken.

This is some of the best chicken I have ever had, just pan fry the chicken, no oil or anything, brown it on both sides fast and then turn it down and put a glaze on it and cook it in that for an hour on medium low. The glaze has soy sauce, dijon mustard, brown sugar, red wine vinegar, garlic and water. Once the chick is done, pull it out and thicken up the glaze on medium high heat and pour it over the chicken. It's so amazing. :thumbsup

We just had homemade cheesesteak sandwiches with fresh peppers, mushrooms, onion and zucchini.

Mmm... it was good. Tomorrow for dinner is roasted chicken with stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy and veggies.

I like to cook, a lot. I hate when people don't make dinner for their families. It's not hard and it's the best time to share with your family on a nightly basis.

Dude, you on the east coast? The only place I ever knew had Swiss Chalet was Western New York area. Mmm... so good around Christmas time with the Tobelerone bars.
