Webcam Surveilance Software?

Hey.
I donīt get it that nobody ever invented something like this:

I am seaching for a software for my pc that i can set to motion detection and that simply starts capturing a video WITH sound (!!!) from my Logitech Quickcam 4000.(build in micro)

The Logitech software can capture videos with sound and it can do motin detection. But they for what reason ever can not combine both.

i downloaded and installed tons of share and freeware and not one was able to do the trick..most of them didnīt even showed anything. :disgust

Any idea?

Thanks Bob :) but as most of use linux is only on my servers and not at my pc ^^ so i need a windows version. But as i thought i not failed using google.
seems like nobody really needed real surveilance without professional hardware.

My cheap Dell laptop does that with it's built in webcam. I imagine if you bought a new monitor with a webcam in it, it would do it. Might just be that excuse you need to upgrade your desktop monitor to something better?
