Of the 32 states that give more than they get in Federal Tax dollars 84% of them are Republican Red States. Sarah Palin's Alaska is ranked at #3 taking in $1.84 for every dollar it sends to Washington.

Florida is ranked 34th, but we are half blue and half red.

South Florida, Miami-Dade and Broward is Blue and we pay for the rest of the state.

Florida doesn't get more than we receive and I'd have to say no to South Florida paying for the whole state. While there are a lot of Rich retirees down there, there are several other areas with income earners.

Think of Brevard country for example. There isn't another place in this country that has the mix of hi tech jobs that are available in Brevard. Hell it's only topped by silicon valley for hi tech computer related jobs but beats out silicon valley for other tech jobs.

It is funny though that all these red states with the hard core Republican's whom cry about socialism are the ones sucking the most off the govt tit.
