Zogby: Mccain moves into lead 48-47
ZOGBY Saturday:
McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday, one day, polling. He is beginning to cut into Obama's lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all... |
Just so I am in most of these threads - WTF is a NASCAR voter? Guess it is something else I should look up.
|
thats it john won
|
Doing research. Anyone know on the East coast. Is NASCAR popular or even done in New Hampshire? Only asking cause I found an article that talks about NASCAR voters and New Hampshire.
|
What is a NASCAR voter?

LOL nice :1orglaugh

Ah I get it, it is a badly thought out stereotype of a mix between a redneck and someone who likes to watch NASCAR.
Why isn't anyone going after the NFL voters or any other fairly large sport that is made up of a wide demographic of people? PS. Is there any NASCAR in New Hampshire? Still curious and is it big there? |
One of the reasons Bill Clinton (Bubba) won against Bush I was because he got the Nascar Vote !
Nascar is the most watched sport in the US and it's even bigger then the NFL. |

real republican voters dont participate in bias bullshit polls by liberal media morons
only whiney liberals participate in polls, conservative republicans dont waste their time with such bullshit. so obama is fucked if polls are saying mccain is ahead. sorry self hating liberals |
They haven't called anyone I know for a poll. So they apparently are just polling people who want Obama.
How many free concerts did he have? |
Uhhhh i think that poll is way off, one poll i like to look at and not just for president elections is the gallup poll.
Registered Voters Obama 52% +2 McCain 41% -1 Likely Voters Obama 52% +1 McCain 43% -1 |
If McCaine wins there is going to be some serious shit hitting fan...
The kind of shit that will tear America into 2 or 3 parts with a civil war. I got no doubts about it. THere are very large parts of America that right now will pull from the Union and fight for its own freedom. California and Alskas being just two of them where there are political forces moving towards Independence from a broken Nation. I myself am a member of a local Militia. I would fight and die for California independence. THe current system of Government in America is Corrupt current leaders need to be held for Treason and Violations of the Geneva convention. |

So anyway, by your logic, the results should have been 100 to 0 then, right? Since the republican voters simply wouldn't have participated :glugglug |
Quote:
We would all die if we tried to fight for independence from the rest of the country. You can try but ud have to get half the states to join up with you before that happends. |

It even came up in the election debates, and came up in the whole deal about Palin. Palin was involved with a group that had interests in pulling out of the Union of The United States. Alaska is not the only state in the Union to feel that way there are several. You may be in a populated area of California but out in the sticks and back roads of California there is a surprising number of Militant groups and politically funded groups that aim for a California to break from the Union. Just like Alaska and Texas, and many parts of the South. Alot of it never makes the news and why should it? Fact is there are alot of People in California that would welcome Independence. |

Ya guys think it is far fetched but it really is not.
California is hardly the only state to have organizations that wish to pull from the Union. These Organizations have lot's of money they are well financed and have the plans to carry out Separatist politic's that will eventually remove a state from the Union. Not with blood but with penstrokes. And should blood arise there are indeed foriegn interests as well. The USA is not Impregnable, the USA is merely a hodge Podge of territories that merely agree to working within the Union. Disagreeing to work with the Union is not a declaration of war. It is a declaration of non-confidence in the federal system of government. California power players are about ready to throw down the non confidence card and for people not privy to the reality of the situation face a serious wake up call. |

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_pro...n_popul arity According to this it is 6th even behind college football and college basketball. According to the ratings for this last week Nascar ranked 7th and had around 1/3rd the viewers of football. http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve...sports,00.html Nascar is big in some areas, and it is popular, but it is far from the most watched sport in the country. |

But let's humor ourselves for a minute and say California did jump ship. a rogue group stormed the governors office and something happened and it was going to pull away from the union and suddenly things got bloody and as you said a foreign interest got involved. First off, most of the people in the state would leave. They would flee to other states and if they were forced to stay the state would be in chaos. How many of those that stayed would be willing to fight? Not many I can assure you. They talk tough and have a shotgun then they see a tank and things change. So they would involve other nations. Who? China? Do you really think China would enter into a world war (and that is what you would get) to help California pull away from the union? Not a chance. China is working its ass off to take us over with its money, its not going to jeopardize that with military action. Russia? Yeah because they would love the idea of NATO rushing into their homeland from Europe. Again, if any major country that had enough of a military to actually threaten the US rushed in and fought to defend a pulling away California it would find itself in a world war and for what? A piece of land that will then either be mostly empty or blown to hell and back. If it were a smaller country, say a Venezuela or a Cuba or even an Iran. That country would find itself being bombed back to the stone age. Park a couple of air craft carries off the cost and rain metal of them for awhile and see how that changes a persons mind. The reality of what would happen if McCain wins is that he would be the lamest of the lame duck presidents in history. The democrats who will control the house and senate (maybe even a filibuster proof 60 seat senate) would make it their mission to see that he got nothing done and he would be forced to play along with them if he wanted anything resembling power. This would cause him to get so pissed he would have stroke around year 2 and we would get president Palin and the senate and congress would have such a tight leash on her she would have to ask permission to shit. And California? They will go on churning out movies and wine and doing what they do. |

That's one day of tracking, there's a reason they post a 3 or 4 day moving average in tracking polls....and even then they fluctuate wildly.
The latest cspan/zogby/reuters poll (through 10/31) has Obama up 5. http://www.reuters.com/article/newsO...34134020081101 |

NASCAR voters are another word for trailer trash that votes Republican, because they don't like no liberal around there. Liberals want to take their guns!
Personally I say all these polls are BS.. So many people have voip phones these days (I know I used to install them) and cell phones that the traditional polls just aren't that accurate anymore IMHO. I know I haven't had a land line phone in about 10 years. Most younger voters have cell phones and they never get polled. |

These kids are too busy playing their Wiis to participate in things that don't matter. They will however be there to vote because they are afraid of the Republicans in a bad way. And see their friends going to Iraq and dying. It affects them. :2 cents: |

personally i can't wait for this to be over..

Zogby's pretty smart.. the results fluctuate so wildly he doesn't have to worry about how wrong the poll is after the election.
