So.. I committed myself to Patty ...

Ok She wanted another dog (Her basset hound passed away 2 years ago) but I don't want any more dog in the house, so we both agreed for a cat but not any cat..

I want a sphynx....

We have an appointment for this one wednesday :

Is there anything I need to know about these ?

get it used to baths. You will bathe it more than a dog. They act completely different than a normal house cat.

ohhh my god that is sooooo cute ...

Yeah. They come already used to baths and to not climb on table/counter, vaccinated, sterilized and declawed...

Everything I read they seem like a very fun pet. Very smart and act more like a dog than a cat. Its big on human interaction.

You know I love cats I've been becoming more and more allergic to them, I'm supposing this would solve the problem?

Dont declaw them, teach them to only claw at their posts.

Depends on your allergy...

If you are allergic to the fur/hair, then yes it prolly would...

But if you are allergic to their skin/sebum, then it would be even worst....

There is 3 types of cat allergies, the 3rd but less common one is to their saliva, so if you don't let them lick your hands, arms, face, etc... Then you're ok

Depends, like anything, there are some good and some VERY BAD... When you pay that price for a cat, you prefer to get it from a dedicated breeder who knows the race very well and have all the certifications for the animal you're acquiring :2 cents:

one of my models has one. theyre very cuddly/clingy because they like your body heat. neat cats. i think you should rescue one from the shelter. cats like to have a cat friend. maybe buy this fancy one and rescue a friend for it.

We went yesterday night and finally choose that "blue" one :

She's a blue point female born on Sept 21st and we'll have her around Xmas time.. Needless to say that now Patty can't wait for Xmas... :)

Her name will be "Prunelle'"

I have seen them at $1000-$1500 each some may be more. They are not cheap.
