What's the biggest amount of CASH you held in your hands?

How did it feel?

Biggest for me is $30k THAT I FUCKIN HAD TO COUNT. The feeling of having that much cash on your hands is kinda disturbing for some reason.

In 1992, a unit military personal (me included) with shotgun-weilding Marine escorts transported a couple million dollars in cash and change onboard the an aircraft carrier preparing for deployment. The thing that struck me wasn't the amount, it was the weight. That much money (especially the change) was crazy-heavy!

$197,000 in a black leather satchel. Payment from a CPA firm for a construction draw. The company I was working for at the time had just completed a $2 million dollar renovation / addition to their offices and they paid the final draw in cash. I was the one who picked up payment from the firm and I'll tell ya the ride back to the office with almost $200,000 in cash sitting in the passenger seat beside me puts crazy thoughts running through your head.

Cash and change. If you've never been onboard something very large, like a carrier, there are tons of change machines onboard, soda machines, an arcade room, a couple of stores, etc... So when it deploys and remains at sea for months at-a-time it's fully stocked with plenty of change.

DUDE, did you have security? I see those ATM service guys even driving around in armored trucks, and I don't think they have huge amounts there.

75k, was only 18 and very stupid. Needed to pre buy a shit load of inventory from a distributor and go shopping at a big ass outdoor flea market in southern California. 15k was for the distributor (new client, cash or cashiers check only). Rest was to be used buying things like cards, autographs, sports memorabilia, comics and such to stock a new store.

Could of gotten the 15k in a cashiers check but at the time it made no sense and honestly it was even more cash to hold. Never realized how fucking stupid it was until I got to the first vendor at the flea market and then it dawned on me that the whole place was full of shady people (buyers and sellers). Thankfully a security guard saw first transaction and offered to shadow the "silly white kids" while we shopped.

For me it was about 12K in cash. Long ago I worked for a store named Radio Shack. After I had been there for a while I started doing the closing books which meant on nights I closed I had to make the bank deposit. So it was a Sunday and I had a pretty normal day and went to make the bank deposit. There was only a few hundred dollars in my deposit satchel (normal for us most people paid with credit cards it seems). I get to the bank and sitting on the ground in front of the night deposit box is a silver bank deposit bag. I make my deposit and pick the other deposit bag up off the ground. I see written on the front that it was from a local auto parts store and machine shop. It is half open so I look inside and there is a ton of cash. I do a quick count and realize there is about 12k in the bag. I decide that whoever made the deposit must have fucked up and dropped the bag instead of putting in in the night drop slot. I used the pay phone right next to the bank (this is pre cellphone) to call the auto parts store. They are closed but have an emergency number. I call that (it put me through to the manager) and tell him what is going on. He is shocked and on his way to the bank to meet me. I sat in my car for about 30 minutes with 12k in cash in my lap until he got there. I have never seen a guy more thankful. I thought he was going to offer to blow me. From the sounds of it whoever was supposed to make the deposit would be looking for a job the next day.

That's actually pretty noble of you. Not many people would've done the same.

Once I was sitting on the beach taking surfing pictures at a popular
surfing spot. An old friend from out of town came up to me and asked me to hold
this brown paper bag for him while he went out surfing. He told me not to look in it
which I didn't but I could feel it was a brick of cash. It was big enough that I could just
barely grab it from the side with my giant man hands. Since I don't know the denomination there's
no way of knowing how much was there but I'm pretty sure that's the most money I've ever held in my hand.

No it's not, the house isn't CASH, but the coin IS.

Most for me was $3k, not much, I'm not stupid enough to walk around or hold much more then that, heh.

I had to count over almost 200k in cash while working for Circuit City. Obviously that was a long time ago, because that was one location and more cash than the entire company takes in an entire day these days.
