This is OpenCourseWare from MIT. You can go there and see 1800 courses and download FULL lecture notes, assignments with solutions, exams with solutions, tests and all of that, as well as watch the actual video of the lecture happening.

Insane! 100% free, no registration or anything, so that means that even the most isolated person living in the most third world country if taught to write and read and use a computer can pretty much do ANYTHING from there, including getting the same education that some guy 2000 miles away is paying $20k a year for!

Of course you don't get the actual certification or to work with people/professors but you do learn and you get the knowledge.

I think that is pretty darn awesome. I am off to see what I can learn. There are a lot of things that I have an interest in but not to the level to work for a degree.

im trying to find a course on sanitation engineering to no avail

too bad there is not some kind of standardized deparmental type examination testing you could go to so if you learn everything there is to know that is involved in obtaining a bachelor's degree in a field that you could go, write some tests, and prove your knowledge and be awarded the degree :2 cents:

You could probably learn how to better manage the other sanitation engineers though so they have to get dirtier than you.
