Do you think the world would be better if we stopped breeding for a bit?

As someone who hasnt made 6 babies by the time i hit 30, I often see many of the problems facing our world due to population, parents who cant raise their kids correctly, teen pregnancy at high rates etc...

As a kidless person, often I wonder why people are reckless with their body they pop out kids before they even get their own life together. I have family members who have had 3 kids, since i was 20. I am 32. I cant even comprehend that sorf of lifestyle. Not only that, I sometimes feel so many humans are irresonsible with their breeding, that most children are born by accident, not being intended.

So heres my question, do you think the world would be better of if we either controlled breeding some way, or at least put a hault to it, for lets say a decade? Ive talked about licensed breeding as a joke for years, but really.

Theres people on this planet who have taken an oath to not breed or reproduce because they feel we cannot even deal with the people we have now, yet the world keeps multiplying. And we cant stop it.

Whats your take?

World population is currently growing by approximately 75 million people per year.

100 % agreed. Difficult to implement in third world countries however where they cant afford birth control of any sort.

I think a kid needs a mom and dad and I think a mom should have more one on one time with a kid and not have to work that much.

That brings us to the topic of do men really understand what bringing in a human being in this planet means?

If people stopped having babies, who would take care of the old folk?

People not reproducing is a quick path towards economic oblivion as fewer productive young workers support more people who are past working age. This is a uniquely bad idea that only a seriously delusion green party leftist could even speak about with a straight face.

Perhaps if people who think this way would not breed that would be a good start. :helpme

that is an interesting argument BUT the problem is WAY too many of those people with too many kids are on public assistance of some form. I say if you can pay for it have all the kids you want to! if you need food stamps to support 1 kid it should be illegal to have a second, third, 4th etc and live your life on the system.

It would be good if we stopped breeding as much for a while yes, and even better if some stopped BREATHING :)

We just need to get facials more popular in the world

absolutely should,at the very least, slow down breeding abit! yah you got the accidents and shit but theres people that try to have a shitload of kids for one reason or another. that its one of their purposes in life some cuz their religion says they should. problem is that its up to the people to change that way of thinking. how bout the people that want kids so bad they have a doctor help them and out pops twelve kids. unless people choose to not do this sort of thing it will only get worse and i dont think im into government intervention though. maybe they should have a don't have kids campaign, like the war on drugs? aimed at young and old!

Almost all growth will take place in the less developed regions, where today’s 5.3 billion population of underdeveloped countries is expected to increase to 7.8 billion in 2050. By contrast, the population of the more developed regions will remain mostly unchanged, at 1.2 billion.

you do have a very valid point there...of course if everyone stopped breeding there would be a sudden hole with no one to support the system...uneducated rednecks with 10 kids and no job should be stopped from breeding as all they cause is the muliplication of their problem x 10.

People in the West are breeding less. If immigration was halted, populations in the 1st world would dwindle.

I think it's only in the rest of the world that populations are surging.

I still think a major issue is birth control. Way to many just fucking not using it for whatever damn reason. Hell isn't there like 80 or 90 different types nowadays (not sure but seems like it). I do know damn well that kids are not being taught about them though. Hell we already have full blown parental idiots using the excuse that getting a kid vaccinated will make them have sex or be like giving them permission to have it.

Either we educate this hormonal fuck machines that are now getting ass at unbelievable ages now, or we implement a mandatory way to temporarily sterilize the little twats until they become adults and pass a test.

the reality though of the world is that 40 is the new 20 and 65 is the new 40

the whole "work until you turn 65 and then retire" model isn't very productive, people should be striving toward health and productivity until they die... there is no reason why 100% of 70 year olds should be completely unproductive, I know of many 70 somethings that couldn't sit at home and have to be out doing something productive, that is what we as a society should be striving for :2 cents:

spewing out a bunch of 80 IQ rugrats by the half dozen saps our economy more than having the older people stay productive
