Do Major Adult Sites WANT to Advertise on Big Non-Adult Sites??
 

What's your take on this? Are there benefits here? Is it something Adult sites want to get into?

Reason: I help rep one of the biggest celebrity/gossip blogs in the country (60 Million pageviews a month.) They run a lot of sexy/sometimes semi nude celebrities and after years of running mainstream advertisers on their site, and it being extemely profitable, the advertisers have cracked down so much it's hard to get much mainstream anymore.

One of our comeptitors took the leap and is now running Adult Friend Finder banners--something the site has NEVER done before (it's affecting all racey celebrity blogs apparently.)

Question: Are there big adult sites willing to advertise? Because, if we take the leap, I don't think we'll ever be able to turn back to mainstream. The other alternative is to remove all semi-nude content and lure the mainstream advertsiers back in with the promise it will be clean going forward. So, I'm looking for some insight from GFY member superior brains onto which way to go!

Any help would be appreciated.

I will be contacting you all sometime this week! Just remember, this is very preliminary, I'm testing things out to see what kind of sustained revenue could be generated, and then present these ideas to the Celeb Blog I rep. They've never done Adult Advertising. If I could get enough adult sites to participate, then it would be a no-brainer.

I'lltest--I'm open to any ideas when it comes to advertsing.

Mainstream does extremely well with us since it's not a "production" but real people that could be someones neighbours what we're pushing, that's why it was also featured in so many mainstream magazines and tv channels - it's scandalous but not "dirty".

I'm searching for mainstream sites to advertise on right now. A lot of them laugh at me, but I keep trying. :)

spent a fortune on mainstream sites to advertise adult related products off all sorts and it proved to be a huge waste, advertising mainstream on adult = loss and visa versa.

I am also one of the few who spent a fortune on print media too, another thing that dont work
