I need a CMS for a free site.

It's been a while since I played with one of my sites and I wanna use a better CMS. Is there a CMS that uses smarty?

The site has several different elements that rotate content independently of the main rotations. So I basically need a template that I can drop rotating sections into it.

Anyone know of any good and easy scripts?

freesite. I got paysites and we use the same cms as the free sites, but the paysites are less dynamic. They just add content. And we use the same CMS for the paysites as we do this freesite. It's easy for me to use, but a very complicated system when more than one rotation is added.

I want this freesite to have several areas that rotate content. And more or less, I was just looking for some CMS that would eventually run the paysites as well, as we plan on getting more dynamic with those in the near future.

I'm stuck with a client using MODx ( http://modxcms.com ). It's not bad in regard to plugging in stuff. However, I just made this post so Fris can throw down some security flaws ;-)

I used joomla for a while on some free sites but it really was quirky.

www.porncms.com isn't free, but time is money, and messing around with open source (I know because I do it daily!!!) can cost you more than having access to support. 2 ciggity-cents

Apex can be used to build freesites. It's not just a paysite backend CMS.

Worth looking into. I use it and love it.
