Favour Needed - Site Speed ???
 

OK I need a favour of sorts... I need to know how quick my new sites are loading up ? If anyone fancies doign me a favour and trying a few, if you could post your location and the time they took to load ?

I use http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/ to check the speed... not sure if this is the best tool or if anyone uses something else ?

Obviously not expecting you to do them all (unless you really want to) The reason I am doing this is I am thinking of using CaverCreeks CDN software to speed up the sites... and want a startign point as to how good or bad they already are :)

Thanks :thumbsup I'm thinking this is a tad slow... not sure what soem of the other big sites load up in, but would like to bring the load time down :)

Pretty slow here in usa on Comcast. Not sure if it's your design or your host speed but it is slow here to load.:2 cents:

I think its more the design, the designs are very image heavy... I estimate they are about 50% longer to load than the norm... so I am thinking I am going to have to get it all optimized a little (maybe 20-30% reduction on the file size of the load) then couple that with the addition of the CaverCreek CDN software to tweek the load time a little more :)

tryed first three, could be faster but not enoyingly slow.

images loaded quickly here

not too bad. All load in under 15-30 secs. However, each page is like 1.5MB+ so it's gonna be slow for quite a lot of people....

Thanks to everyone so much for trying this out for me :) Your top dudes :)

Teh cash programme isnt live yet, we're launching on December 1st... I think what we're going to do is get our designer to tweek the images and reduce by maybe 20-30% which I am sure will speed things up without losign too much quality on the site designs :)

This coupled with CaverCreeks CDN software should mean we can compete for speed with the other sites :)
