whats the best business advice you have been given?
 

#1 Solve important customer problems. If you do that everything else follows.

#2 the first rat gets killed in the rat trap and the second rat gets the cheese. Essentially meaning that you don't have to be the first company to do something, you just have to learn from the first company's mistakes and do a better job.

Make money for *other* people.

Too many people fail because they want to squeeze every dime out of every deal. Once word gets around that working with you is profitable, more people will be eager to work with you.
