pay-per-download service? (for mainstream)
 

A friend is looking to sell his popular "how-to" DVD series as a pay-per-download option.

Are there any companies/services you can recommend?

he's planning on selling a 60hr archive for about $100.

hmmm.. he just gave me more clarification:

"on-demand streaming" so that a user can start the playback anywhere they like without needing to download 60 hours of HD video. It would probably be a situation where someone pays a certain amount and then has access for a certain period of time.

Kinda like a paysite ;)

That's getting more into a tokening system and PPV/Cam type setup with a flash server or the like... tricky tricky :1orglaugh:1orglaugh... There was some live cam software floating around getting a lil bit of mention that can probably handle static video similarly with the right billers... I'll do some diggin and see if I can find it.
