IE8 - Not just the same crap, WORSE crap!

I hope that the default was changed by mistake in beta 2, because it'll really be a pain to have to learn a whole new mess of crappy code developed by M$.

And the broken page icon next to a page that is standards compliant? That's just pure evil. They can't seriously be considering doing that, can they? Maybe they got it backwards?? Should show broken when the page is NOT compliant?

That would make more sense but then, Internet Explorer has never been about making sense.

Its still beta, but some of the functions are really awesome (slices and anccelerators). I would however still rather prefer an lighter browser with less plugins to ensure stability and security.

As a developer, my only concern is whether or not it'll add days/weeks onto every project I do because it has to be done in completely separate fashion from the rest of the browsers.

When IE7 came out, not only did it not help things from IE6, it made things worse as the code changed further.

Also, I don't like the idea of making a page that conforms to every standard on the net and have IE8 tell people that it's broken.

That might be true. That is why I would preffer simpler browsers as well.
