How long does it take for domains to sync?
 

I opened a new hosting account. I changed my dns info on godaddy. How long before domains will start working on new host?

I meant I changed the name servers.....

ON my server it takes
 

6 hrs to 48 hrs depends on how far you mean 48 hrs for the world

I have had it happen instantly sometimes and other times it's taken 12 hours.

im still waiting, I wanted to get my sites up today but oh well i guess.

30 seconds if it's not in the cache. If it's in the cache, it's whatever the cache rules are.

Usually within an hour or 2. Like BEN I have had them happen almost instantly. If it has been more then 24 hours check to make sure you put the right info, as well as talk with the host.

The longest that I've ever heard was 24 hours but usually it's quite quick.

A long time ago it used to be within 72 hours, the world would see the entire change, now a days, its usualy overnight, or at worst 2 days..

Its happens to me almost instantly all the time
