Will we see gas at .99 cents

Its down to $1.85 here Think it will drop under a buck anywhere in US.

mikesinner 11-28-2008 08:29 PM

I doubt it. Probably it will go back up.

Iron Fist 11-28-2008 08:37 PM

Wait until Obama is in office... then we will see...

Barefootsies 11-28-2008 08:42 PM

Could be. It's $1.59 last time I filled up here in MI.

They have to bottom out the gas to make it less cost effective to invest in green technology.

They did the exact same thing in the 70's and 80's. Nothing new. Send the 'big three' automakers over to their oil business buddies to get their bail out loans.

I hope so- I just purchased a gas guzzling Jeep. :-)

TidalWave 11-28-2008 09:06 PM

maybe we'll see $.25/GAL like the good old days :)

Defiance Inc 11-28-2008 09:10 PM

Probably see .75 gas... have to see how much OPEC cuts production, how long before inflation kicks in...

msdriven79 11-28-2008 10:14 PM

I am fucking sick of all the "uuuhh ohh a GAL IS $1.95" it's FUCKING $6/GAL or more everywhere in europe so shut the fuck up and enjoy your cheap ass gas.

Horny Dude 11-29-2008 12:17 AM

I would have bet you we would never see it below $2 again after the high's we hit. Now gas prices are dropping everyday so who knows!

mattz 11-29-2008 12:23 AM

that would be nice, I filled up today at 1.85

SomeCreep 11-29-2008 12:25 AM

Today, I saw gas below $2.00 for the first time in about 7 years.

dev777 11-29-2008 01:59 AM

so whens a good time to invest in oil?

d-null 11-29-2008 02:07 AM

it's making "driving around just for the fun of it while listening to the radio" a worthy way to pass time again :thumbsup

seeandsee 11-29-2008 04:55 AM

It always goes down during the election year. Always has.

I'm sure it will go back up. Always does.

the arabs are trying to drive the price back up

Robbie 11-29-2008 11:29 AM

I'm pretty much convinced that they charge whatever they want to, whenever they want to. Oil is at an all time low and we're still paying a couple of bucks a gallon and feeling like it's "cheap"

I remember just a few years ago when everybody was up in arms when it went to one dollar a gallon. They're playing us like fiddles if you ask me. Shoot it up and see how far they can go on price. Then whenever we start to use less they drop it back...but never where it was before.

That way it keeps inching up in price.

On a related note I saw that OPEC is cutting production to try and raise oil prices because it's so low right now that they are hurting from it. I'm pretty sure the oil companies are the only ones making bank.

Violetta 11-29-2008 01:27 PM

not here in norway! :(

Kudles 11-29-2008 08:48 PM

That would be glorious

tigermtb 11-29-2008 10:12 PM

No. . . . .

spacedog 11-29-2008 10:18 PM

$1.75 here.

Bojangles 11-29-2008 11:06 PM

It would be nice, but very doubtful.
