My Democratic Senator, Debbie Stabenow, has already sponsored a porn tax bill once. I bet she'll try it again with the Democrats in control here too.

It is better than trying to make up laws to destroy it or make it illegal, no?

If porn goes down the "sin tax" route like smoking, it might as well become illegal because in time it'll price sites out of what consumers are willing to pay. Porn taxes would be worse than the tubes!

Before anyone brings up it could make it legal or protected. Just remember the machine gun stamp tax and the marijuana stamp tax and see how they turned out.

i doubt it will do anything to lessen the stigma involved in porn...and i agree that eventually the tax will force out buyers.

government is good at doing free services..health care roads etc....etc
