HA HA, that's a good one! :error

Plain stupid idea... Then again, it's Silvio Berlusconi, what to expect.

My Democratic Senator, Debbie Stabenow, has already sponsored a porn tax bill once. I bet she'll try it again with the Democrats in control here too.

It is better than trying to make up laws to destroy it or make it illegal, no?

If porn goes down the "sin tax" route like smoking, it might as well become illegal because in time it'll price sites out of what consumers are willing to pay. Porn taxes would be worse than the tubes!

Before anyone brings up it could make it legal or protected. Just remember the machine gun stamp tax and the marijuana stamp tax and see how they turned out.

while it would make it more legit i guess...i think it would be like inviting your retarded cousin to dinner because his wife is hot..lol

i doubt it will do anything to lessen the stigma involved in porn...and i agree that eventually the tax will force out buyers.

government is good at doing free services..health care roads etc....etc

thats why those people work for the government and not business

politics 101;
get it where it's at (1)
Change the rules while playing (2)
wag the dog scenario if you get bad publicity (3)

CarlosTheGaucho 12-02-2008 03:27 PM

taxing stupidity would be a better move, they would lost the majority of the voters though

P.S.: not directed against italians, this applies in general
