Many of our current revshare clients already push these sites, they will receive rebills on all those previous joins that recur during that time period.

Also, we have one of the highest trial to converts, so a three day trial will convert in those 15 days.

It's all about the thread title. Next time, you can try a few of these tried and true GFY marketing tactics:

1) The Bait and Switch: create a controversial or shocking thread title to grab their attention (and clicks), and then present something wholly unrelated in the thread. For example, have Sly start a thread entitled "(DRAMA) Hey Kristin, You're Kidding Me, Right?", and then continue in the thread with, "...are we really giving our affiliates 100% revshare with no X-sales??? That's insane!" Readers may feel let down by the tactic, but once they recognize the great deal you're offering, they'll get over it.

2) The "Hey Look, I'm A Woman!": create a thread title where you vaguely refer to yourself as a woman. It's a well-established fact that adult webmasters are, more often than not, middle-aged virgins that respond to even the slightest sexual cues. Start a thread title that goes something like "This Morning While I Was Washing My Soapy Body in the Shower..." and then start your announcement with "I couldn't help but think about the insane 100% revshare no X-sale offers we've giving all of our affiliates!" This is a relatively under-used, but powerful GFY marketing tactic.

3) The "Wait, What?": create a thread that summarizes your announcement and an irrelevant, but intriguing accompanying statement. For example, title your thread "TopBucks Announcement: We Do Not Support X-sales or Racism". This marketing tactic is quite effective as it appeals to just about everyone who reads it for a multitude of reasons. They may think you're comparing x-sales and racism, or they may think there are rumors that you support racism, or they're just generally confused as to why you'd announce your stance on racism at all.

If you'd like to read about more profitable and tested GFY marketing methods, be sure to purchase of a copy of my new ebook More Profitable and Tested GFY Marketing Methods, which is the sequel to my previous award-winning ebook Profitable and Tested GFY Marketing Methods.

I know, I know ... we have been working different angles on board postings because of the lack of response unless it's nudity or controversial.

Last time I tried the nude route and you are right, it worked better. Guess I'll go back to what works. : )

Im not saying this to troll, I like the program you work for - I really do. I think its one of the Top5 in the industry. And Trixia were always very helpful when I had any questions, even when I left the project before they started sending any traffic to your sites.

But do you expect a pad on the back for putting a end to something that should never have been implemented in the first place?

xsales have been one of the main reasons surfer feel unsafe when signing up for porn

The day I cheer, is the day xsale is no longer the industry standard (and even then I might find something to nag about :pimp )

It was to make it clear that our revshare had no xsales. It NEVER has but many people don't know that. And when you pay a true 70% revshare people jump to their own conclusions and *think* we have xsales. Never had, never will on revshare.

TopBucks also denounces racism, unlike other affiliate programs. :2 cents:

You will have to signup for a new account and choose the revshare option. We started each one separately but have had the same backend, so they have always been split up.

Sorry for that, let me know your revid and I will just set you up a new one with that info.

That should tell you everyone is all talk. Put more xsales and increase webmaster payouts to $80/join and then we'll talk :)

yah because its convenient at the moment.

Kristin, I think what the big drama was on GFY was about x-sells period. Not whether or not they were on revshare. It seems that many of the people on here think they know best how others should run their businesses. Personally...I think a person should run their business the way they want to. And if an affiliate has a problem with x-sells then they take programs offers to run non-xsell links.

But that is never enough for the drama hounds. They STILL keep attacking and say that x-sells are ruining the business.

One kinda cool thing about my fellow affiliates "educating" the surfer (also known as exposing the business amongst smarter folk) is that now the surfer knows EVERYTHING! So they know what affiliate codes are too. And as a result...I'm seeing more and more type in sales to my paysite :) The surfers are now scared to click on anything that shows an affiliate code when they mouse over a link. So they are typing in.

The old rule of unintended consequences :)

On the bad side...along with illegit tubes and torrents...it hurts my tgp's ability to make the kind of sales that I used to.

On the good side I'm making a shit load of money on my paysite through all the type in joins :)

Sucks for me as an affiliate. Rocks for me as a paysite owner.

By the way, I've been a top bucks affiliate since 2001 Seen the good times and the slow times. Good company. And Kevin is a smart guy.

Robbie 12-02-2008 09:38 PM

Back to the top. Been a while since I've been in the webmasters area at topbucks. Some sites I hadn't seen before. :) Working in there now with some promo materials. Good stuff. I've always been revshare...but if you guys want to turn on the x-sells for my account I have no problem with it at all.

Hehe ... nope, not at all, but that's quite the nice offer!

The CFNM site is rocking and is good for revshare as the majority of those signups are initials rather than trial.

Also, the mobile stuff is doing well. We pay $15 PPS on that to revshare people only because of the small charge our revshare WMs wouldn't make as much. We have a script that detects mobile to implement into your site and it can re-direct to our mobile site with your revid obviously.

Hit me up if you need anything.

It's funny cause I've had a WM tell me to send a hooker to his house for more traffic. I tried, I really did, but it was almost impossible for me to pull off.

Eight ball, that's easy.

Heh-heh...just thought I'd ask. Couldn't hurt. Unfortunately for me, once I got the eight ball the hooker would be useless to my tiny shriveled gimmick. :1orglaugh
