AWEmpire spamming for affiliates now?

Or is this just someone looking for affiliate referrals in oh so tricky fashion?

referral_rs=signupbrt ???

I got the same thing.

EscortBiz 12-01-2008 05:41 PM

INever 12-01-2008 05:42 PM

who knows?

Maybe if they fixed their rather strange revshare model more affiliates with cams traffic (like me) would give them a go. Though if I make a sale with them, the prospect of losing my referal after 2 weeks isn't going to fill me with confidence.

That's what I told the supposed affiliate manager that emailed me.
I'm doing just fine with other cam sponsors that offer true revshare, not this 2 week bullshit.

Ya no shit white label another cam site and make 1000s more. Hmmm hard choice not to use them.

How can they do so much business with that revshare model that dies out after 2 weeks, when all their competition is offering lifetime revshares? Makes no sense, but somehow they are still big. WTF?

polish_aristocrat 12-02-2008 04:39 AM

AWE is still one of the biggest cam programs on the web now (if not the biggest).

The 2 weeks cookie sucks for the affiliate but for them, I'm sure they are making bank with it (if it works like described here on GFY).

If I was them and already was at the very top on their market, despite that 2 weeks cookie, I probably wouldn't be changing it either... and just keep all these "free" millions from it. This is a business afterall and they're doing what they think is best for them.

But don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE if they changed it!

well, they were making bank because they used to convert great, I had rock solid 1:400 for about a year, ratio dropped, I dropped links, right now 0:4000

btw that ratio drop began way before the economy downturn

bloggingseo 12-02-2008 07:04 AM

I was giggling because I got an email from them in regards to one of my sites, although I had links to them on the site. It was from the bart guy. I was like, what an idiot, I'm already an affiliate as evidenced by my iframes on the main pages lol
