so apparently, during the rise of tgp/mpg sites, it was feared that abundance of free content twould help supersaturate internet with free porn and put porn studios out of business. isn't this the same fear with tube sites?

i understand that tube sites offering 30min~1hr videos are likely to get much less conversion than a tube site offering 30~60sec promo videos (is this really true?) videos but how much would conversion rate would really improve? aren't tgp that links to FHG, giving away lot of free content, the same case?(people can get themselves off from a few tgp sites)

i mean would people still be willing to go onto tube sites with promo content only with videos lasting no more than a minute compared to say pornhub, redtube, and xvideos which offer dvd quality full length videos ? how significant would conversion rates be between say xvideos and a small tube site filled with promo content only ?

Well Dori hopefully the tubes will become more like mgps. Mgp's on average gave away 3 20 second clips adding upto a minute of content and more controlled content example not giving away the pop shot. The older porn that has been seen and sold over 100xs will be given away for free to get people to goto the tubes....What sucks is when people steal your content that you put your blood ,sweat, and tears into producing and the only ones benefiting are dating sites. So anyway Dori theres enough content for sale to fill a tube plus have promo content, and still send sales to dating sites. I hope for the win/win situation

Yes the big ones make some $$. Small ones that start now or in the near future maybe not so much.

If you made them I guess you can spam your own TGP and fill the rest with hosted free galleries and such.

You can make some coin if you work 24/7 for a couple years or so...

Yes, except tgp's you had a few or 4 or heck 8 free videos on a page and only 30 second or 1 min clips....now with tube sites, its all there in 1 site...consolidating i call it...and more competitive ( saturation :-), smarter experienced users, more options....phew its been 15 years already ....online!

there has ALWAYS been enough free porn to jerk off to, before it was easier to just pay $20 than navigate thru tgp skim after tgp skim

tube sites are easy to navigate and have more porn than tgp's do = easier than whipping out a cc


lets say i am brand new surfer i buy a computer open browser type " playboy porn videos" because thats all i know , before you would likely find a dozen or so tgp's freesites with playboy porn videos , promoting playboy, now you will find tube sites giving it away advertising things like aff

same surfer 5 years ago at least had a chance to get a playboy membership

true, i see skimming is where the difference really is, as well as sponsors have direct control over the amount of free content given out.

but like you say, that man who types playboy and do not know anything else likely is from a a much older generation.

the new generation is already exposed to rapidshare, megaupload, warez, torrents, and know where to get the entire site rips. no need to take out CC, just click the torrent or rapidshare, and download 5gigs worth of pictures and movies from one entire paysite...., in a matter of several minutes....this is the new age. IMO, this is much more damaging to a company's bottom line. basically, your contents are now worth much much less because of the freeloaders, and no real way to enforce this....therefore wil lbe recorded as cost of gods and sales, since going after it is likely to fail and lot of time and resource will be spent.

tube sites act as a "quickie", people who are too lazy to download all those files through rapidshare or torrents.....imho, if the site is full of 30second clips, it would not do very well in terms of growth and traffic....but prove me wrong its just from inference that those sites are not satisifying for a "quickie" for the new generation
