How would I go about starting my own non nude bikini site?

I mean with content shot just for me?

How much do you think the models would run me?

I'm looking to start it as a free site and earn from the advertising.

I want it to be pg13, no nudity, no camel toes, just A+ looking girls with slender athletic type bodies in bikinis and things but no g-strings.

I would need to own the content completly. Maybe I might even shoot it myself.

DutchTeenCash 12-05-2008 06:04 AM

get a good host
get content
get a nice design
spend some $ on ads

there you go

How much do you currently know? Do you know basic HTML? I ask because you asking how do you start a site makes it sound like you don't know anything about webmastering.

There's no real trick to it, you want to know how to go about it.. well, hire some girls, photograph them and build a site. It's not rocket surgery.

For non nude, but hot girls, I wouldn't pay more than $100.00 for a few sets. You should have no problem rounding up some girls that will model for you, and charge an hourly fee. I'd assume most run of the mill models charge anywhere from $75.00 - $100.00 per hour, and you should be able to rattle off 3 sets in an hour. (I did 580 pics in a couple of hours today). I'd bet these kinds of models charge per hour. The hardcore sex girls charge per scene.

Your last statement is what makes me think you need to go back and learn the basics first.

I'm assuming you want to build like a "sports illustrated swimsuit edition" type of site. That means that the models need to be SUPER HOT (not run of the mill models), and have good hair and good makeup, and you're going to want high end 'Dean Capture' style photography. Saying you're going to shoot it yourself, and yet you have no idea how much models cost is a clear sign you've never shot before. Are you expecting to get Dean Capture quality without ever having shot? Or do you plan on shooting these with your nikon coolpix camera?

Dude, makeup and hair is gonna cost you $500.00, model of 'ABOVE AVERAGE' quality is gonna cost you. I'd imagine they'd charge a few hundred an hour with a few hour minimum.High quaity images are going to require a photographer with a crew of at least 3. Before you're all done you're going to have an expensive shoot on your hands. You'll never make that cost up by running a free site. Not unless your someone like Maxim or whichever of those mags are still running.

Not to shoot down your dreams or anything.... I'm just saying.

However, you could always just pitch a model 50 bucks and shoot her as best as you can and just post regular bikini girls. But don't expect them to be A+ girls.

RedShoe is rght. and in all honesty a fresh face girl from next door often sells better than the girl that looks like a super model.

great and useful advice RedShoe

asianseekerz 12-05-2008 06:21 AM

that good idea go for it !!!!!!!!!!

mikesinner 12-05-2008 06:37 AM

I know html but when I make sites from scratch they don't end up looking that well, usually I need help adjusting tables and stuff like that. Most of my income comes from blogging.

I have access to a lot of stripper type girls but I really don't want to go that route. I much rather get shots from bikini models like the hooters bikini contest girls. Real hot you know.

As far as makeup I don't want the girls to look trashy. I don't want lots of makeup. I'd prefer them to look natural but I realize I still might need hair and makeup even though I'd like to do without it.

I would only want to use models under 25.

Also I've been thinking of taking some photography courses and making this a long term goal.

I've been doing this for a couple years, I shoot non-adult models anyways so every year I shoot a few bikini sets for like $50 (keep in mind there are ridiculous amounts of bored girls in this area) and have a standing ad in the area, I'm in no hurry to get it up, already have the design and domain, I would certainly shooti it yourself it'll make it easier to promote "your style"

LoveSandra 12-05-2008 06:39 AM

or you may learn as much as u can about photography working , shot your models and sell it :)

Man I was living in Daytona beach last year. Probably the perfect place for that.

RedShoe 12-05-2008 06:50 AM

Here is what Dean told me. To practice photography, join Model Mayhem. Get girls and shoot them for free, for practice.

You'll have access to tons of models, just find all the ones that are willing to do TF* (Trade For (whatever), time, content, etc...) You'll get some no shows, but at least you'll get girls that actually want to model and you'll be able to get a lot of real world practical practice. I only shot a few girls there, but I saw improvement right away.

And the upside is, a girl you shoot for fun/practice could end up being an actual bikini model for you that you can use on your site when you're ready.'

And take PornGuy's advice, don't shoot for high end A+ girls. Shoot girls that look like I'd have a shot at getting. Shoot average girls and shoot TONS of them. Poor Man's Bikini Beach style.

HorseShit 12-05-2008 06:52 AM

Always thought it was a hot niche, but not even camel toe?? If the girl is not showing camel toe on purpose and doesn't mention it why wouldn't you let it slide, it's hot as fuck.

mikesinner 12-05-2008 06:53 AM

Also what about legal issues here? Do I need model releases?

How do I protect myself from theft?

Could I snail mail myself the negatives as a cheap way to copyright them?

What if I do bikini shoots with porn models? Would I run into legal issues if I had a free site like that?

Because I want a free an open site that anyone can visit. I'm photographing beauty and not sex.

I'm more of an oil up the model kind of guy.

plsureking 12-05-2008 07:47 AM

yea whats your business model?
pay site? ezine? doorway?

most non-porn chicks in LA shoot for $50 a day.
only the porn chicks know whats up lol

building the site is easy.
just use a good CMS & add your own art.

i'd spend more time on shooting,
branding, business model, and marketing.

there's enough geeks
to do the dirty work for u.

Was going to do a totally free site and earn from dating and cam adds. I thought about setting up a monthy pps program through cbill once I get enough content.

definitely a lot easier to market nn than porn.

cheaper to shoot too.

i always thought of nn as a doorway to either porn or to good erotic art. u could easily sell
MET, hegre, ftv from a nn site. those are considered "art". add a guest gallery with affiliate banners and nn shots from other sites and you'll get nice click-thru sales.

just dont make it look like a typical free site. if u brand it so people know its your work from you - and not just all free promo content from other sites - then your site will grow and get a following. adding some articles and a blog will help keep the site sticky. forums are always good too.

i dont think the world needs another generic free site lol

ya, I would get the site done professionally. I think I could start an affiliate program down the line or just market it myself, would never really be looking to get rich with it, just generate some traffic to my cam sponsors.

oh thats right u are a cam seller.
the nn site would work out well for u then.

lots of good mainstream traffic
cuz there's no puss or tits.

i dont like to spam,
but my cms would do the trick.
pretty cheap too.

spend 500-1000 on art,
plug the design and content into the cms,
and you'll be up very fast.

u could even get away
with some hacked together art
until it started making some money.

Man, I've got some friends on other boards were I have a little more rep, I'm going to talk with them about all this and then I'll get back to you.

They are old timers and I look to them when I need guidance on things.

Where do you live? I can help you out with your project.
