Anyone here ever talk to DirtyWhiteBoy? Tell me he doesn't sound like Jello Biafra.

They both have similar accents and pitches.

DWB said "that guy sounds like a loon"

I guess he doesn't know who or how bad ass Biafra is.

I was a huge DK fan back in the day. Even saw Jello on his first spoken word tour when I was in college. Only wish Jello didn't fall so far off the radar. I think they could dust off "Bedtime for Democracy" and be relevant again. Too bad he's probably a total asshole to work with and the other guys can't stand him.

he doesn't hear it either and neither does his own flesh and blood brother. I've always heard it.

And yes, he knows you. He speaks highly of you.

DirtyWhiteBoy would never complain about the wrongness selling a song to be used in a movie during a rape scene -- that's what Biafra did when the other Dead Kennedys sold rights for a cover of Too Drunk To Fuck to be played during Grindhouse.

Bizarrely, I saw those movies and I totally don't have any idea which scene he's talking about, but whatever.

But I've never heard DWB's voice so yeah . . .

There's two sides of a story:

I've just recently read a pretty recent book about the American hardcore scene that was put together from different interviews.. including Jello, East Bay Ray, even Brandon Cruz.

Biafra sounded really bitter in the interview, while East Bay Ray sounded quite relaxed.

They had some beef together over the rights for the records / name / Holidays in Cambodia theme being used for a Lewi's advertisement etc.

Noone knows shit how it really was, but seems it's kind of impossible to overcome for them, but one or another are still actually worth seeing or listening to.
