Fair price for an outsourced employee??

Whats the monthly going rate if you hire someone in a poor country and they know english, some html, no programming. I mean if I hire them directly, no agency.

Sly 12-06-2008 01:17 PM

What's fair price for a car?

Iron Fist 12-06-2008 01:18 PM

Fair price is the price that you think is fair.

Kard63 12-06-2008 01:20 PM

Ok, whats the lowest price I can pay and expect someone to really work 40 hours?

Oh who gives a fuck. I'm probably to cheap to pay it no matter what price gets thrown out there. I don't mind asking for information and then making a decision. I think forums are for information. The people who think is a community are fucking losers.

kmanrox 12-06-2008 01:24 PM

2 for a dolla?

jact 12-06-2008 01:25 PM

How long is a piece of string?

You haven't given anyone anything to go on to help you.

The biggest problem is finding the right person, they are very rare... you need to keep in mind that Third World countries have electricity problems and Internet problems, which will have an impact on their working schedule, guaranteed. You will also need someone that can afford a computer... you may be paying said person $500 a month, but their computers still cost them at least $600, and replacement parts are expensive.

If you can find a proper person like this, they would cost around $500 at least in the Philippines. Other countries, no idea...

I agree with this. I know in Panama a maid is paid $350, but that is very high and she gets running hot water! lol So I would guess it would be around $500 dollars...it really just depends...

CaptainHowdy 12-06-2008 02:05 PM

Depends on the skills ... 5 - 8 dollars an hour.

The funny thing is, grunt work is nearly cheaper in the US/Western countries. PC's and internet access are certainly cheaper and you can find people stuck at home who are happy with the extra cash.

In poorer countries pc's and internet are expensive so penetration is low. Those who have access to them tend to be higher earners and better educated, so they're not interested in been a web monkey.

This is more true than people realize.

We were using a team of programmers for India for awhile, it was cheaper then US labor at first but they kept raising their rates until they wanted more money then US programmers. The entitlement seems to be climbing in the typical "outsource" countries.

If you hire them directly, and it is for adult work/adult-related work, you might still have to pay a premium. But it's definitely going to be cheaper than if you hired through a firm.

If anyone reading this is looking for a homebased data entry person (adult or non-adult) from the PHILIPPINES contact me and one of my partners will publicize your data entry position for FREE. My company doesn't do adult outsourcing or even most types of data entry, so your staffer won't come from us. This will be strictly direct hire.

Expect to pay around $200 to $300 a month and make sure you discuss with them the legally mandated "13th month pay" when you're screening applicants.

fair price involves the skills of your leased staff and the requirements of your tasks. If you mean by hiring them directly without the agency is hiring a freelancer you should think twice or more. Looking for a company is way better especially for confidential purposes, quality and quantity of work.

aniloscash 12-08-2008 12:14 PM

lets say the avg wage there is $3 hour. thats about $500 month but my experience is you never get full time work out of them. It might be better to find a college student locally to work part time for that. probably get more production.

candyflip 12-08-2008 12:32 PM

We have a payout list that gives them a set fee for each task completed. So we're essentially Pay Per Task.

C-Luv 12-08-2008 12:35 PM

Hum, who knows

KraZ 12-08-2008 12:42 PM

Well, I have a pretty good idea when it comes to Eastern Europe. HTML with some programming skills from a guy/girl with 2+ years of experience will cost 1200+ USD.

This hasn't always been the case but with the lower testing 1.30 against the EURO, I can tell you Europe is probably your worst option right now.

KillerK 12-08-2008 12:52 PM

Lowest price you can find is probably $160 a month (40hrs a week @ $1 an hour)

Good luck with them being able to do much in english though.

qxm 12-08-2008 01:10 PM

mmm it depends what they are doing... I have like 4 people from other countries doing work for me but I pay them by project.. so I guess that way they end up earning a lot more than your average 3rd world dude...I haven't tried hiring someone full time tho...

LeRoy 12-08-2008 01:19 PM

Copy and paster 300.00
Graphic Designer 400.00
Programmer 800.00

At least that what I paid when I needed it :)
