obama's big plan for the country
In the wide-ranging appearance, Obama once again gave strong indications that he?s backing off his stance on two key campaign pledges ? whether to repeal President George W. Bush?s tax cuts for the rich, and his call for bringing U.S. combat troops home from Iraq in 16 months. On a lighter note, he sketched a vision of an Obama White House alive with cultural and musical events, saying he hoped to include children from local Washington, D.C., schools.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/200...politico/16279 yep I'm sure a bunch of black kids dancing and singing in the whitehouse will make things better. I think we've elected 'nero' president :) \ |
A politician not coming through with his campaign promises??? No way!
|
You dont have enough hope for change. Just wish really really really hard and things will change.
|
yep thats all he is going to do have kids sing. Come on guys this is boring. lol

I would rather not see my savings disappear before my eyes because of the inflation Obama and Bush are intentionally trying to create. Yes they are trying to cause inflation. That is what they mean when they say "keep housing prices up". "The man who called the collapse" https://youtube.com/watch?v=wZUd2lMu5OQ |
I guess I missed the part where he was sworn and has actually done something so that you can judge him a failure.

You're really surprised that while he needed to get elected it was "Change! Change! Change!" and now that he is elected it's "Business as usual!"? You really thought Obama wasn't going to be owing to the people that got him to the highest office in the land? You really expected things to be _THAT_ different? Come on, I know most of you are slow and foolish but surely some of you can think at a fifth grader level.
It doesn't much matter though because Obama was still a better choice than McCain. |
you fools Obama is part of the New World Order, things will be getting worse.
Get you're tin hats ready americans because you will be attacking Iran soon - so get some pussy now. |

According to Shiff's own words, if we follow his advice we'll be in for a 10 plus year economic recession and maybe even a full blown depression. And that's if we do what he says we should do! Methinks maybe we would do well to seek a better solution :2 cents: |

Whats the difference if he lets the tax cuts expire or cuts them right now? We are talking about a year. Hes giving the middle class a tax cut. He said hes going to have the joint chief of staffs come in and draw a plan to withdraw troops. The process has already begun anyhow, I dont see his plan changed. Might be 16 months, might be 20? whats the big deal?

Has anyone asked how much money we need to print to get ourselves out of our crisis? First it was 750 billion and everything will be fine. oops wrong, the fed then printed 1.7 trillion in one week to stabilize the market and get credit flowing... oops that didnt work. Lets just print up 10 trillion to see if that works. :helpme:error |

Our present problems can be traced back to the housing bubble and the subsequent free fall of housing prices. Once housing prices stabalize (whenever the hell that happens), things should start settling down. And if they don't? If they don't, I sure hope we can come up with a better fucking plan than putting the rope around our own necks as Shiff would have us do. |

But I guess if you hope really hard things might change. |
Obama changes positions faster GFY getting trolled. With that said, that might be his stronger suit since it reflects flexibility--a flexibility which is required by the current economic collapse. It's the Democratic majority you have to keep an eye on--it's hard to keep the "tax and spend" train in the station.

Even Obama is not stupid enough to raise taxes in a recession. You should be praising him for his pragmatism.
