Sure apps crash but the entire OS doesn't tank in the process ;) I had one kernel panic in all of my time with Mac and it was running a developer release copy of Leopard

pornguy 12-10-2008 10:59 AM

The only real issue I have with them is that they are so damn expensive.

I agree. We have a few, and our last one a MacBook Pro 17 inch cost us $4k AUD (they are more expensive in Australia than most places) it was still a great investment! :thumbsup

if it were operator error, wouldn't it happen on every os i tried ?

windows98 was pretty crash happy. I cant remember the last time my xp crashed, my vista crashes now and then and my mac also crashes now and again, about once a month , about as often as the vista .
and i use the xp computers more than the vista and mac too.

Kroy 12-10-2008 08:59 PM

FWIW, the NEW Macbooks don't have Firewire, if you need that get the MacBook Pro.

Yup my partner bought a quad core, 8 gb of ram, full out deal 3500.00 just for the computer, and thing froze on me 3 times in 3 hours use. Needed total reboot to get it back on. lol
