Ilan (the president) registered GameLink as a business in 1992. GameLink was initially created to sell computer games via a Bulletin Board System (BBS).

By 1993, they had switched to selling adult movies in VHS format, which possessed a larger worldwide market and better margins.

Hindsight. 15 years ago when you are only selling some VHS tapes online who had any idea where things would be now. There are some advantages to billing as Gamelink. It doesn't jump out at you when you see it on your statement... somebody just bought some videogames.
