Can I grab some help from ICQ users
I have used trillian to access icq for years now. I have been having so much trouble with it connecting lately that I decided to download actual icq and try it out and see what it is like these days.
So far it is okay but I have a few 'newbie' questions. Firstly, it found all my contacts but nearly all of them are just numbers. Is there a way to change this? Secondly, one of the main reasons I used trillian for so long has been the history feature. Can I import my trillian icq history files into actual icq? Then, is there a way that I can view the complete history of an icq contact in a text file rather than bit by bit? Thanks! |
Hit GFY user and ask them. :D

Sarah, you can rename your contacts to anything you want them to be. Mine is set up to do it by right clicking on the name.
Can't help you with the importing of history, but I can tell you with my revision of icq that I had to enable the save history feature. (Main/Preferences/History) Edit: As to the very last part of your question, you could copy the entire history over to notepad or something if you wanted to. |
