I have been through AA and helped others as well as many in my family battle alcoholism, talked to others and helped many of my friends even put down syringes in serious and life threatening situations. Drug rehab and withdrawal are not easy, and I bet you know nothing of it.

Am 58 and did this for years, I can say this and you can take it for what it's worth. I would much rather see a young person smoke pot than drink *ANY* kind of booze. My main concern is there is a lot of people in their 20's and younger coming up that drink like sailors and smoke pot like a chimney. As well as do things like ecstacy which fucks up the brain. And I dont want my tax dollars to pay the medical bills down the road.

I would also like to add. I used to smoke 2 packs of menthol cigs a day when I was a drunk as well.

I quit drinking beer daily, and smoking 40 cigs.

Gave it all up for some all natural herbs. Aint that a bitch?

Most of what we do is bad for us. Sitting at a computer for 18 hours a day and eating Pringles for dinner probably isn't the best thing in the world.

I don't smoke...personally, I do think it makes people dumb if used regularly for long periods of time, but that's just from seeing what it's done to people I know. There are probably tons of brilliant stoners, I just don't know any.

However, I do lots of things that aren't good for me, and I am in favor of letting people self destruct the way they want as long as they don't take anyone else with them.

I wish they would just legalize pot and turn it into revenue for the govt instead of clogging up our courts and jails and pouring money endlessly into a fight against a drug that doesn't really cause problems for anyone but the person smoking it.

I assume you are speaking of me? I used syringes in the sentence to illustrate me being around some hard drug users. I have talked my friend out of some bad situations, and in some cases rushed friends to doctors. like many drugs, it has side effects, both good and bad. use the drug too much and you get hit with the bad side effects.

I have a aroma zap that I use. I like it cause its stealth and looks/acts like a oil fragrance thing. It does get you quite high and the taste is much more evident than smoking a bong. You do blow out a bit of smoke (bout 1/10th of a decent bong load) but you are not combusting everything, rather you are just inhaling THC (and yes prolly a few other things you whiners). The thing I like about the aroma zap is that it sits there all day as an air freshner, then when I wanna go it her she is ready (some vaporizers you have to warm up before you use).

I never put lighter to the weed, but to the bottom side of the metal bowl... seconds later you get this "vapour" tastes like a one of those vicks nasal vapor things. and man do you get fucked up .. way more that you would if you burn it THC evoporates at a low temp.. burning wastes something like 70% of it
