How Are Your Chargebacks?
 

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering what your chargebacks are like with different pay systems along with banks your merchant accounts may be with? What percentage of chargebacks are you seeing in 2008? Also, how much are you paying for chargeback fees? Who do you think is the best solution for billing?

Next to none. As usual.

I get more bounced checks than anything. I have eliminated that option on all sites but one.

With CCBill, they do not pass along chargeback fees,

for all 2007 < 0.1%

most of 2008 ~ 0.1%

end of 2008 = 0.2%

So we're still only using up 20% of the 1% chargeback allowance, but they have increased recently. No changes in how things are running on our end, so I can only assume it's because people are feeling poorer and are "returning" these subscriptions for financial reasons.
