I would like to know how well that works and what are the advantages...

I tried ubuntu but wireless never worked no matter what I tried.

mikesouth 12-15-2008 09:29 PM

from what I gather on the net suse is most compatible although some advanced graphics stuff isnt accessable (hardware texturing and such) but everything else seems to be
just seems kinda cool to be able to use it that way when Im not watching movies via tversity (that software is the shit if you have a ps3 on a lan)

I am running Ubuntu on the PS3, and it's working great for me so far ... but I've only put "major" time into the PHP IDE I have running on there. If I can give you a hand with the installation, let me know.

Im running YellowDog on the PS3 just for fun. It's alright if you need a simple web browser computer but I dont like the performance personally. Fun to do though just for the experimental nature of it all.

Yes, I should have mentioned that: the performance with Ubuntu has been terrible as well. I haven't bothered to Google anyone else's experience with this (frankly, the PS3 is just a convenient way to code from the couch without kicking my wife off of my laptop), but if anyone has insight to if this is "to be expected," I won't consider it a "problem" anymore.

No... But I did create a new network that makes a few grand a month during the time I would have spent fucking with children's toys...

Wow, that was harsh but hilarious!

Did you make the network so you could afford all of the unauthorized charges to your credit card? I'd have done the same thing too. :winkwink:

Maybe you can peel off $10 from the stack you've accumulated to let AMA Bucks either renew the expired ClubKatja domain or take it off of the front page, hehe.
