do you think will it ever become a threat to Firefox and IE?

Wizzo 12-16-2008 11:38 AM

It will be higher once you can use Roboform with it... :pimp

ztik 12-16-2008 11:39 AM

I used it once and never opened it again. didn't have any features to make it stand out

Machete_ 12-16-2008 11:41 AM

those numbers are based on downloads, not who use it as their primary browser

farkedup 12-16-2008 11:43 AM

I think everybody here downloaded it and this is just a spike because of the release of the "hardened" version

Does this mean I use it? Fuck no, firefox for me

StuartD 12-16-2008 11:46 AM

Once people can start making extensions to it and they fine tune a few things, I think it'll be a real force to be reckoned with.

Love it, been using it since it came out. Lots of good features actually. Main one I love is the ability to move a tab from one chrome browser to another. Very handy at times. :thumbsup

KillerK 12-16-2008 11:56 AM

It's not worth using until they have plugins. The tabs are better done but firefox or ie could copy that and then what does it have?

a lot less memory use for one.

Rochard 12-16-2008 12:23 PM

It's hard to beat out IE. Say what you want about IE, but it comes as the default browser and always will. Everyone uses it.

I use a combo of firefox, opera and chrome.

I don't subscribe to the 'default'.

I guess I'm not everyone. :thumbsup

Where did you read that they have a 100% market share?
And it only comes as the default browser on one operating system.

At least I agree with 1 out of 3 of your statements. It will be hard to beat.

:2 cents:

TheDoc 12-16-2008 12:55 PM

It's only for XP and Vista right now, I haven't tried it because of that.

not really based on downloads...

They included the package in their download package to replace firefox... I guess that will help.

In that case, their stats are wrong. Its simple logic.. 1 out of 100 internet useres do NOT use Crome.

1% of the users in their analysys might have TRIED crome, but its simply not true that they have a 1% marketshare

I sure as hell hope not. Anything Google makes is a threat to the users' privacy.
