Score 1 for NATS and Silver Cash...
I have been a Silver Cash affiliate since 2003. Since about 2 years ago I noticed they couldn't convert for shit and wondered WTF? So I stopped creating new shit to promote them.
Then I got a check from them for $200. WTF? I don't actively promote them and it seems all of my old shit wasn't converting... where did this check come from? Then I noticed not only was I not getting money for my traffic. It seems I had no traffic for the pay period. Odd. So I loaded their domain into the browser and low and behold, they have switched to NATS. I log in and guess what? Suddenly the measly 50 to 100 hits still going to them from 2 to 4 year old campaigns is converting like hot cakes! I will have to discuss the fact the same traffic supposedly wasn't converting for two years and now suddenly is with them in private for now. But until then, Kudos to you for getting NATS! |
weird same thing happened to me with extremepaychecks.

nice. heard of such cases before but glad to see someone posting something like that in these times
|
Seen the exact same thing with a few other programs. Most recent that comes to mind is Grooby.
|
I remember reading few years ago how programs stopped onverting after switching to NATS...

Serve us good news.

Dont need to change link codes? Can leave our old codes right?
|
Yea I stopped promoting them as well a year or two ago because I wasn't getting any sales anymore. I was doing pretty good with that Naughty Natlie or what ever her name was.
Are they updating their sites again? It seemed like for a while there was no new promo content. |
that's strange

Too strange!

Its nice when they don't screw you out of old link codes, most definitely.
|
Its more likely that some of those old links got picked up by a SE and started delivering fresh traffic to those old pages, which has happened to me many times to many sponsors over the years. But I would also say it is good to see Silvercash using nats as it makes it much easier to navigate the site. :pimp

Nice. So, now spend that $$ on something unexpected.
|
Very nice to see money you didnt klnow about :)

Thats like finding money in the back pocket of your jeans. Nice!

Since nats is something im considering id love to know how they did this without having you change links? One of my main reasons for not using nats now is because affs will have to change links but if it can be done without them doing anything it can be a big plus

escortbiz I had affiliates on both epoch and ccbill before I got nats, and nats added php codes on my sites/servers to catch the old link codes and pass them over to the new nats code for that affiliate..it was rather easy.
the only issue I had with ccbill was not all webmasters personal info got imported over properly so we had to email all the affiliates and have them login to the new nats system and update or re-enter their info to get paid. |
i think it was only the ccbill affiliates who had personal info hidden checked in their ccbill account. but I believe alot of them hide this info.

2) Create translation database or array for old trackingID > new NATS campaignID 3) Create script to generate new NATS code ie: function generateNatsCode ($siteID, $campaignID) { $programID = 1; // default program $natsid = str_replace('=', '', base64_encode($campaignID.':'.$programID.':'.$site ID)); return $natsid; } 4) Do a redirect to the new NATS URL with NATS ID intact. ie: $natslink= generateNatsCode ($siteID, $campaign); $url = "http://www.domain.com/track/$campaignID"; header("Location: $url\n\n"); exit; 5) Have apache run this script whenever an old ID is requested... Shouldnt be too complicated to do. |

correct it never missed tracking sales...just the sales show up on their nats account
which is the same user/pass as their ccbill account..they just need to be advised about logging into your nats program in the future to check sales, update their info so you can pay them. |
Its great to get those unexpected payments from out of nowhere.
